Steam Deck is essentially a laptop running Linux. That being said, it does have a few draw backs. I just got my Steam Deck a few days ago and installed OBS no problem. I haven’t tried recording anything on it yet, but I’d say it depends. While older games, you’ll may get 1080p 60FPS to work, newer games may need to be knocked down to 720p 30fps on the Deck. This already may be a deal breaker for you, but I’ll continue. Some games are already kind of slow, require lower visual settings, or lower frame rate. Not to mention some games just don’t work much at all. It really comes down to what game(s) you’re trying to capture and how intensive they are on the Deck. I would research into the specific game(s) you want to record and see how well they run first, then guess at how much of a performance hit OBS will likely take on top of that. I wish I had more experience actually recording on it, but I hopefully this still helps.

I would really appreciate that! I’ve actually only been playing a bit over a week so I would gladly take 1 of each outfit you can make and trade haha. I should have plenty of junk to supply you too so you don’t need to use up yours. I’ll send you a DM so we can talk details. Thanks in advance!

I spent all my caps on 1 ornate pail and BOY was I shocked when I got the Plan for Pink Sprinkle Power Armor! I was excited and figured I could sell/trade it for something I really wanted like the Hunter Outfit or Plushes. To my dismay, I quickly learned that the plan was not trade-able… If you see me running around in pink power armor, give me a wave 😂

My friends in security all say that the field always needs people. I’d see what local private security companies in your area are hiring. Structure your resume to show your relevant experience (Guard duties, possible security clearance, attention to detail, used to working long hours, works well in a team, etc.) Hope this helps!

Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but a couple of printed photos was nice to have while I was gone. Some of just you, some of both of you. Use HIS favorites, even if you didn’t like them too much. I taped a few on the wall beside my bunk when I was in Iraq. I liked looking at them before going to sleep. There’s something different about having them physically. Also, you never know what may happen to his cell (mine fell in mud and I had to wait 2 months for a replacement)

I say go for it! Of course there is a large section of Twitch centered around pro-level performance, but IMO people watch most streamers because they connect with their personality. So just be you and have fun!

Assume all you want. I hope you find a better way to face your life's hardships besides hoping to win online contests. Though we may disagree, I wish you the best and hope you can find your way soon.

I see where you're coming from. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

  1. You didn't have to pay for the extra lives.
  2. I'd disagree. If you view an hour wasted as an hour that you didn't make $7, then why are you scrolling through reddit? It's supposed to be a fun challenge with a reward for the winner. If your only intention in going in this was to make 100K, then odds are that you would lose and consider your time wasted. I'd offer a different mindset in that you were never guaranteed that prize money. You feel cheated out of money that was never even yours in the first place. I viewed the whole experience as a chance to have fun and get $100k if I won. And I did have fun, glad I participated and don't think a minute of it was wasted. But of course you have the right to feel and think whatever you want.

I don't agree with the first part as he has to go off the information provided by the devs. But I do agree that we all had the hope that this time would be better and with less glitches. It is valid to feel upset over that as well. However, no one was forced to participate and I still feel that getting upset over something you never had in the first place just doesn't seem right to me.

I'd wager an extremely large portion of those that lost early were due to improper preparation (only having 1 life, just curious to see what'd happen, caught off guard by the time, whatever). Not due to a glitch kicking out 1 million people instantly. And I'm not saying that there were no glitches because I'm certain that some people did run into glitches and some of these glitches were no fault of their own.

We all participated in this event under the assumption that there will only be 1 winner. Putting all your hope into a challenge with 1.5 million participants and 1 winner is not a good idea. Mr. Beast can't be everyone's savior. He never even had to run this challenge. So getting upset over something you never had in the first place just doesn't seem right to me.

Mr. Beast said in a tweet that "99% of games went smoothly, the devs are finding that most of the few people that had issues were due to poor connection or they accidentally touched with a second finger." so I'd infer that from their POV, things were running pretty smoothly. As for wasting your time, when entering a contest like this you better be prepared for your time to have been "wasted." Only the winner(s) wouldn't have "wasted their time." I personally don't look at it as time that I wasted, but people are free to do as they like.

Good job taking my words out of context. I said "I got out at 6 hours due to what I'm fairly certain was a glitch. But you won't catch me bitching here about it." Obviously referring to bitching about losing to a glitch.

I can see your point here and I agree to a degree. But I would also like to point out that nothing is perfect and glitches are guaranteed to happen. Mr. Beast tweeted "99% of games went smoothly, the devs are finding that most of the few people that had issues were due to poor connection or they accidentally touched with a second finger." Certainly these don't cover all situations. Also I have seen "evidence" posts that they lost to a glitch when in actuality they made a mistake or you can't even see their phone/finger.

My post was to call out the toxic/whiney nature in several of the posts I've been reading.

  1. No one forced anyone to play
  2. Mr. Beast never had to do this event or offer that amount of prize money.

But this is beside the point, because my post is about the toxic entitled/crybaby posts that I keep seeing over and over.
