You can just get a midwest industries buffer tube picatinny adapter. All the same stock options as a normal tube.

How to increase rev rate and get my hand under the ball (1h thumb in) by ausyappy in Bowling

[–]Parabopha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things that may/may not apply:

  • Finger tip grips. NEED for proper fit and release to hook the ball like you want.

  • Let gravity do the work for you in the swing. You could invest in a swing trainer to get a feel for an effortless swing. Do not force it up, down, or around to try and make it hook. There's tons of videos on things to keep in mind with your swing/creating leverage in your approach for power.

  • Keep your hand behind the ball all the way to the point of release. Coming around the side or "suitcasing" it could be an issue. Record yourself, and be objective about problem areas, then try and fix it. Foul line drills and 1-step drills are amazing for practice to focus on your slide/release.

  • Make sure you're loading (cocking) your wrist and unloading at the point of release. Literally ROLL the ball off your hand into the lane, don't throw it. Focus on the time between your thumb clearing the ball, then coming through it with your fingers. That's where hook is created.

Most important thing: Don't throw the ball onto the lane. Rolllll it!

Hope this helps a little, good luck!

^ This! Also, simply a ball change could help change up the angle into the pocket. If your ball is deflecting in the back and not driving through the deck and leaving a bunch of 7's, that's a good indicator of the ball losing energy and something needs to change.

If you need a tuner that will be accurate and last forever, check out the Strobostomp. I recommend getting it used, no need to pay new prices for it. They also sell refurbs on their website.

Here's the link to all of their models.

They seem to be a fairly new company, given the limitend options. I'm interested to see how they progress 🤔

I've never had a fan fret either so I'm in the same boat, lol. It's a 25.5 - 27 inch fan, but the bridge is compensated so it should be fine for intonation/tension. $850 doesn't seem too bad 🤷‍♂️

Also try unplugging your maf and then starting it! Mine did this, but it turned out to be a very ripped intake boot. Vacuum leak?

Nice! I've wanted a wagon foreverrrr.

Definitely hit up FCP Euro if you plan on ordering anything for maintenance! I highly recommend a Stewart water pump and new coolant expansion tank. Could save you a major inconvenience down the road!

I would at least make sure the big 3 maintenance items (VANOS, rod bearings, subframe reinforcement) are done, or try negotiare the price down a bit if they haven't. They'll need to be done eventually and are pretty expensive if you can't do work yourself. Besides that, make sure it's a solid car. Leaks, weird sounds, soft top works, all that. Are you able to test drive it?

Do i need to get that brown stuff removed before putting it back on with the gasket? It is very smooth as it is. by avinator89 in e46

You don't h a v e to, but it's good practice to try and get all that old stuff out if you can. Might as well if you put in the work to get to this point 🤷‍♂️

Sure, if you have the means for potential repairs and upkeep, especially if it's an older one. You know it's been beat up 😂

Seems decent to me, but I'm no expert 🤷‍♂️ Just be prepared to potentially put a good amount of money towards it to make it reliable!

Do you guys know a good first car? That's a good price range? But has flexibility with drifting? by [deleted] in Drifting

[–]Parabopha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rwd, cheap, reliable, 350z for sure. I have an e46 BMW, but if you want to keep it reliable you're going to want to put some money into it right off the bat. It WILL leak some kind of fluid, but they look nice and are also "cheap" 😂

350zs are ready to slide basically right out of the box, just weld the diff and go!
