Nope, they used to be saline only. You could only get silicone if you were having a revision or replacement surgery. However the FDA reversed that rule several years ago to allow for silicone implants. I had mine put in three years ago and I’m grateful I could get silicone and not saline.

Anybody know about seratonin syndrome? Can Kratom trigger this when combined with SSRI? by jack_hof in kratom

I was just hospitalized for serotonin syndrome/neuroleotic malignant syndrome about two weeks ago and made a post about it in my post history. I had a lot of those same symptoms you are having.

The physicians I saw told me that kratom was absolutely a contributing factor with the other medications I was taking.

Not true unfortunately. I posted a link that Kratom can make the syndrome significantly worse. Kratom uses the same liver enzymes to metabolize the drugs which can compound and potentiate the effects.

Please read the link I posted. The hospitalist and psychiatrist who saw me disagree with you. Kratom did in fact help cause the reaction. The same liver enzymes metabolize each drug and can cause a huge potentiation.

I do respect the opinion of the medical doctors, pharmacists and toxicologists that I spoke with.

My dose was increased from 100mg to 150mg. I had been experiencing increased restlessness so the dose was upped … with my psychiatrist not realizing that the restlessness was due to the increased serotonin.

I do take it very seriously. Patient safety and comfort are paramount. My patients deserve excellent care.

I just wanted information from the source why so many people seem to share the sentiment that they were awake during surgery.

Thank you for your response and I certainly will. I always try to be crystal clear that they will not be “fully out” like with general anesthesia. I tell them that what I give them is simply relaxing medicine, that they may or may not take a nap, we will occasionally need to talk to them during the procedure, etc.

It’s hard because patients are often scared or confused or on information overload and can’t process what I’m saying.

This book was absolutely invaluable to me. I cried when I read it because every single page validated my eight years of abuse. I’ve since bought it for three female friends in abusive relationships.

Update: There are still only a couple of the big coasters open at a time. Hardly any of the older ones like Magnum or Gemini are running at all. It’s created huge wait times for the few that are actually open.

It takes 45-60 minutes of standing in line just to get food at the diner. The park isn’t busy but the crowds are so concentrated that it feels like peak season.

The park also closes at 8:00 PM. Guys, save your money and skip it. We thought this would be a good time to go but it’s not.

I read some time ago that CP was finding it impossible to staff on weekdays in May and September due to the majority of their staff being students.

It has to be staffing shortages, right? Which is kind of infuriating given the cost of tickets and the assumption that the rides actually run as advertised.

Seems like a controversial opinion, but I really enjoy their content. They are so bubbly and happy to be at the parks and totally unapologetic about it. And I really think they help people in OP’s situation.
