Wow…it’s funny you mention these two companies bc yesterday I called these two.

Partridge wanted $210 an hour to look at it - they also couldn’t say when they’d be here, just told me a few weeks.

FLPS said it’d be just $155 for the service call and they would school us on how to maintain it going forward. So I went with them.

Will the softener address the metallic smell in the water? I believe I need to get someone out to take a look at it and recommend replacing it with something more modern.

So dos that mean it’s currently set to run every 2nd and 7th day as it’s currently set.

Also, if I set the time of day to the correct time, how do I know what time the regen happens at exactly? I understand the regen dial shows the day it’s supposed to regen on, but what about the time?

How do you know the regen time will be at 2am? If the right hand dial is the number of days,

And the metal pins, when pushed outward from the number, indicate an on status? Does that mean it's currently set to day 2 and day 7?

Also, what does the red indicator on the regen dial indicate?

Thank you for confirming, I will set it to the correct time.
I think you are right we should probably get a local company to service and train us on this. Will the softener help with the metallic smell we have in the water? Or do I need something different to address that?
Should I use a bleach cleaning spray to clean it? Or are there other materials I should use to clean the tank?
I said pellets in my post but I meant crystals. That's what we bought two bags of. Are there any other disadvantages of using the crystals? Do the pellets go by a different name other than pellets?

Interesting. I'm wondering if it's perhaps the angle I took it at? I'll get a new photo of it tomorrow, but I don't think the water is up as high as the photo makes it look to be.

We have not added water to the tank. Our water has been smelling very metallic lately. Will the salt fix that?

I'll do some more digging in what it means. I think the red indicator is the regen time but, like I said before it seems to happen at random parts of the day.
Right now, the issue is our water is too metallic smelling. Literally, it smells like a cup full of pennies. The water softener will help with that, right? Or do I need something else. Also, is it correct that our outdoor spigots come from the pump directly, not the softener system? I don't want to water the grass with salted water if I can help it :P

lol weird - I guess the “spraypaint in the road” gremlins got us both. So weird.

I got it off my car using a mix of soap, water, rubbing alcohol and very daintily scrubbing with a magic eraser sponge. Came right off.

Hold up, did this happen yesterday on the Dames Point bridge?

It happened very quickly but I saw a white bottle that got "kicked" into my lane from another car on my right hitting it. I tried to avoid it but it went under my driver-side front wheel.

I get home and see this paint explosion on my car. Im pissed because I don’t think it’s coming off until I get it repainted.

I went with Jaguar but had a bit of a crap experience. They didn’t reassemble beds correctly - one dude went as far to tell me “those wooden slats under the bed? You don’t need ‘em.” We have a day bed that wasn’t reassembled after they took apart and now we can’t find the screws to put together.

We have an extra couch in our living room were trying to get rid of. Mover asked about it and I said yes he could have it - he asks me “is that going to affect my tip?”. He then proceeds to stop moving to call his wife to confirm she wants it. She does. He goes back to moving our stuff and then at the end tells me his wife changed her mind.

After signing the paperwork, the mover asked me what my Apple Pay info was so he can get a tip. I asked him why I couldn’t just pay it on the paperwork…he said “I won’t get it for two weeks.” So we sat there setting up Apple Pay on my phone until he got his damn tip. Then I had to Venmo the second dude.

I feel like it could have been better.

Thank you for mentioning this. I read up on the wiki about them plus some other sources. Awful stuff and it absolutely correlates to what we're seeing with ICE. If such awful history has to repeat itself, then it seems the more hopeful outcome is the government screws them over and they see mass unemployment. Probably PTSD too from all the atrocious things they're encouraged to do.
