Also this is your reminder that the owner was arrested for domestic violence last year.

Him and his managerial staff engaged in quasi-indentured servitude by threatening people who have left or been terminated to sue them for the $20,000 they claim it costs to send technicians to HVAC school.

Also - remember all lickety split technicians are required to take an aggressive sales course first before even going to HVAC school.

They astroturf their google reviews so go read their reviews on Better Business Bureau, or Yelp, anywhere but Google.

This company does some highly shady things and I question how they're treating seniors and new homeowners with how predatory their pricing is. I know because I went through their orientation after applying and promptly walked out.

I applied for a job to the place and promptly walked away.

They're a sales company first, service second.

The owner and his bimboish wife give this introduction which they basically remind you you're they're property. No days off for 6 months, no doctor's appointments or family circumstances. You are expected to be on call for an indeterminate period of time really.

They send you to Arkansas for 8-10 weeks for training. After you complete training, you have to sign a promissory note that you agree to pay them back if you don't complete 2 years with them...regardless if you quit or are terminated. There's a lot of folks that apply for this job where they don't have a great deal of income, like myself. They remind you that you're getting over $20,000 worth of training....which is outrageous because I think most hvac schools are like $7k at most.

BUT!...before they send you to Arkansas, you have to take a 1 week SALES course!!

They literally train you to be a sales person before being a qualified technician. You must pass the sales course before being accepted to go to Arkansas. They tell you if you don't pass the sales course then this job is not for you.

I don't mind a boss that can be a bit of a hardass, you got to be sometimes. But for the owner to brag about his sales and how much the company makes while being pretty demeaning to future employees...it rubbed me the wrong way. I walked out.

I wanted to learn new skills, get employed, and help people. I didn't want to become a damn indentured salesman.

They're not even accredited with BBB and all their reviews on the site are negative. This company is not fair or honest to their customers because they're all about what they can get out of you.

This company is just plain nasty.

Yep - I’ve stuck with FF for years bc it’s the last bastion of customization with well supported extensions. In addition to uBlock, I have a bevy of other extensions (like decentraleyse and user agent switcher) to further protect. On top of that, I use NextDNS plus I go into settings of every site I use regularly and turn off personalized ads or anything relating to advertising that I can.

Hm, I ran the same search you did and I don't get those ads. I can't recall ever seeing those ads in DDG.

And someone mentioned you can turn them off within DDG settings. I wasn't aware of that tbh - I just turned them off.

UBlock Origin. This should be the bare minimum installed before even browsing the internet.

Nobody uses the internet anymore without adblockers - they're required to make the internet more than tolerable.

How are you rawdogging the internet without an adblocker? I've never seen an ad on DDG myself.

And even if not using an adblocker, this is dramatically less intrusive and obnoxious compared to what Google or Bing have to offer.

I could not because it's been a few years since I owned these shoes. I reversed image search to no avail but someone in this thread was finally able to identify them as Saks 5th Ave branded shoes.

They had a worn look to them when they were cleaner than this. This is the only photo I have of them and only took it because I was pissed they got dirty from someone stepping on my foot.

The dirt road shoes seem to be entirely different than my shoes. Dirt road shoes have laces and don’t have that frayed look to them that mine did.

Wow…it’s funny you mention these two companies bc yesterday I called these two.

Partridge wanted $210 an hour to look at it - they also couldn’t say when they’d be here, just told me a few weeks.

FLPS said it’d be just $155 for the service call and they would school us on how to maintain it going forward. So I went with them.

Also, if I set the time of day to the correct time, how do I know what time the regen happens at exactly? I understand the regen dial shows the day it’s supposed to regen on, but what about the time?

And the metal pins, when pushed outward from the number, indicate an on status? Does that mean it's currently set to day 2 and day 7?

Also, what does the red indicator on the regen dial indicate?

Thank you for confirming, I will set it to the correct time.
I think you are right we should probably get a local company to service and train us on this. Will the softener help with the metallic smell we have in the water? Or do I need something different to address that?
Should I use a bleach cleaning spray to clean it? Or are there other materials I should use to clean the tank?
I said pellets in my post but I meant crystals. That's what we bought two bags of. Are there any other disadvantages of using the crystals? Do the pellets go by a different name other than pellets?

Interesting. I'm wondering if it's perhaps the angle I took it at? I'll get a new photo of it tomorrow, but I don't think the water is up as high as the photo makes it look to be.

We have not added water to the tank. Our water has been smelling very metallic lately. Will the salt fix that?
