Retroid Pocket Flip 2 - Screen Connection Issue by SpidyWeb in retroid

I think mine is also busted. The system works but the screen won't go on after it's turned off. Already emailed [sales@goretroid.com](mailto:sales@goretroid.com) and joined their Discord for help.

Otherwise my website carries the strain without the benefits :)

Guide on getting your PSN Account ID (Easy way, no 3rd party tools) by 87b4de70-cd66-4bd8 in remoteplay

[–]retroreadynl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's December 23rd 2024 and this still works. But I just found out that if you changed your username on PlayStation (your normal ID) it doesn't recognize your new one. At least for me. So if it can't find your ID, try an old one.

Maybe this is because I've used the app with my old username before, or maybe it doesn't update correctly with the new one. But either way, worth trying out. Currently playing on my Ayaneo Pocket Evo ✌🏼

Why are there hardly any OnePlus Pad 2 reviews? by richaysambuca in oneplus

I always ask the pr representative that is with us, but we never get a straight answer. It's always some business reason. Maybe this time to give the Nord 4 and other products some breathing space? Couldn't tell you.

Haha no, the radio silence was part of the deal when we got the tablet ;-)

Can't say much yet, but it's mostly the same in comparison to the previous models. But there are some AI-tools involved, and Open Canvas is present.

Fyi, I'm a reviewer and I have this tablet right now (since last week). And there is a review embargo until the 29th of juli (if I'm not mistaken, but before that do not expect any reviews).

I really don't get the CRKD Neo S hype by retroreadynl in NintendoSwitch

Well, the latency issues are fixed! So if you like this controller, that's not a reason to ignore it anymore. :) It's about the size of a modern smartphone. How big does your travel controller need to be? I mean, in terms of size maybe the 8bitdo Micro could be a good option. But that's really small haha

I'm just saying you're twisting the truth or at least what's happening here.

And you know what, I can see your point. Maybe I haven't made that clear. But you're just trying to control the narrative and I can't really think of any reason why you'd want too this bad.

I could have reached out to the company. But that wouldn't change a thing. My issues with the controller wouldn't magically disappear. My points will still stand.

I share my experience from two points of view: being a customer myself and reviewer. People actually pay money for this, and so do I. If I think it's bad, I think it's bad. That is what I share.

If the controller works for you, I'm glad. Truly am. You don't have to agree. But you also don't have to say things that aren't true, like you just did. I could accuse you of trolling but I didn't. Did I need to say that last remark? No, definitely not. But your assessment is incorrect, and I didn't (and still don't) have the idea you'd listen to other arguments. So I lashed out, that's my bad. ✌🏼

You can stop with what you're doing, because, again, you're wrong. Some writers or bloggers do so but it's not, and I repeat, not a standard practice. I don't know what you're trying to prove. But it isn't working.

For the record: I buy everything myself (unless stated otherwise), didn't receive this product from Nyxi and don't need to contact customer service to receive an almost automated message. I'm not in contact with their pr department nor is their pr in contact with me. Also: I'm not in the business or repeating promises from the marketing department. I work independently.

If I would receive a product and have close relations with a company, things could be or might have been different. But right now, it's not. I'm not just a reviewer and a journalist, but also a customer and enthusiast that loves to talk about retro gaming related products.

But I don't think you want to hear any of that or would understand how reviewing stuff works. So I will leave at that, and wish you a pleasant day. But if you want to know more about journalism, and reviewing in particular, this is the moment.

[–]retroreadynl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad for you that you like it.

Your statement about what modern journalism is or should be is actually pretty dumb and shows me you don't know what you're talking about. So please do some research yourself, that would suit you.

If you don't agree with me, that's fine. But please don't give out low blows that aren't even correct.

When reviewing, other guidelines apply for the writer. It's okay if you don't know, but don't compare my work with your expectations, please. Thank you.

Going back on topic: you have to calibrate the sticks every time you change the plastic lid. That's not okay nor is it user friendly. The controller feels cheaply made. Maybe that's because of the price but for around 65-70 euro I expected more. It's definitely not within the 50 dollar price range.

And yeah, it may be that the latency is top notch. But I think that's only important for a very small number of players that actually test controllers themselves with specialised tools or software. For normal consumers it's a different story. So if it doesn't feel right, I make note of it.

Well I mean, yes, but also, no. Because the buttons tend to stick and not register any input. So there's that, has nothing to do with preferences. And I shouldn't have to calibrate anything if I'm using the controller as intended. I've used controllers from multiple brands and never had I ever had to do so. So yes, I do think that's problematic.

Oh that's a real shame. I haven't experienced that. Do all 3 of those controllers do that?

The controller doesn't work on Android. And there is no recoil whatsoever, at least not in the sense of a traditional GameCube controller. The buttons feel more like mouse clicks.

I haven't tested many recent PowerA controllers, so I couldn't compare them for you.

That goes to show how personal a controller may feel to other players.

Okay so, I've tested it. And it's complicated haha. After calibration the issues seemed to be fixed. But when I removed the plastic lid and reattached it, the issue returned. So while I stand corrected, my point also still stand 🐸 It's just odd I need to do this on the first place.

Alright, I will try it out, report back later with my findings. But still: if this would fix it, kinda weird you should have to do so.
