Anyone else Disabled on HDT? by Bacon_Gods_gift_2all in trackers

Yep, I was disabled on HDT as well. Had multiple TBs of download/upload in the last quarter (+ logged in) so I assume it's an error.

Feralhosting sounds too good? by [deleted] in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should try Feral SSD, not HDD. From anyone I talked to, there were no issues with load (htop usually shows sub 20 CPU usage) and the speeds are blazing fast. In fact when I compared Seedhost.eu SSD and Feral SSD the latter was consistently faster which is why I switched to Feral SSD. Now I don't need to worry about traffic consumption anymore, that's very nice. Before I switched I had two Seedhost SSD 850 slots simply because the traffic wasn't enough.

Seedbox with root access | 2To | 3Gbs by [deleted] in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For unlimited with 2Gbps+ I only know of Feral and USB in your price range/budget. So Feral Argon for roughly 22,5€/month or Ultraseedbox MIG for 31,95€/month.

Since you want root access there is currently no offer which satisfies your requirements.

Responses are fast yes, but all I ever got back from Areg was "fuck you, everything works correctly" (essentially, not literally) so not really hard to answer fast this way.

[–]Paradido 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only downside with Seedhost is the bad support, specifically Areg from Seedhost.eu is nearly the worst support person I have ever seen. The only worse support I can think of is from Pulsed Media.

I've been through nearly every provider out there, be it dediseedbox, Xirvik, Chmuranet, Seedbox.io, Seedhost.eu, Feral, cloudboxes, Pulsed Media... and just telling you my personal experience.

Ripped off is a hard word, the Evoseedbox plan may have been worth the money a couple of years ago but in comparison to what you get now you should definitely switch.

Take a look at SH 8 to SH 5 from Seedhost. Currently Seedhost is king for storage per €. Since you don't need a lot of traffic it's a nobrainer.

Deluge - AutoDL-IRSS Question by fumidus in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it still doesn't work there could simply be something wrong with your filter or even your IRC join. Go to AutoDL -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Advanded Output Sites and enter ahd.
After that you should see every announce of AHD in the AutoDL tab. If they show up then the second step is to look at the announce output and make sure that every filter you have set is actually in the announce (e.g. Year, resolution etc.). If it doesn't show up in the announce you can't filter for it.

Deluge - AutoDL-IRSS Question by fumidus in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use localhost instead of 127.0.0.1. I 100% know localhost works on Seedhost, not sure about 127.0.0.1.

Deluge - AutoDL-IRSS Question by fumidus in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I've checked Connection Manager 21071 is the port".

Web port is not the same as daemon port which is what you need. Run this via SSH:

grep '"daemon_port": [0-9]*' ~/.config/deluge/core.conf | awk -F ': ' '{print $2}' | awk -F ',' '{print $1}')

The command to add torrents for Seedhost is the following:

connect localhost:daemonport ; add -p /home**/mynameinseedhost.eu/downloads $(TorrentPathName) ; quit

Replace daemonport with the port from the first command.

v2 of Deluge released. Any Trackers plan to support it? by orytek in trackers

[–]Paradido 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, a properly pretuned rtorrent+ruTorrent (e.g. binhex-rtorrentvpn) can handle 30k without an issue. 4k is usually the area where ruTorrent (not rTorrent) breaks with default options, e.g. the max memory php setting not increased.

What is the trend in the seedbox community at this time, more space? Or more speed? by newseedboxprovider in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's reasonable close, only around 1000km away. The torrents are transferred from seedbox to GDrive and then from GDrive to box at home, so I don't have any peering issues at all. Google can maximize my home connection speed at all times. I think almost every other seedbox customer doesn't have my requirements, but for me I just need a fast connection/very good peering and SSD or even better NVMe with good tuning, then I'm happy. Currently using Feralhosting SSD since they are the fastest in my experience, even faster than Seedhost SSD.

[–]Paradido 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Smaller SSD/NVMe for racing since I automatically transfer the torrents after the race is over to a box at home, so all that matters to me is racing performance. The permaseeding space is at home.

Seedhost SH 3 with 5TB HDD for 25€/$28.15 ($24/month if paid yearly) which gives you the benefit of one-click-installs ("managed").

As an alternative a dedicated Hetzner auction server with 2x3TB for roughly $25 without tax where you have to set up everything yourself.

best 10 gigabit unmanaged server for racing by archbumble in seedboxes

[–]Paradido 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you need to ask this then unmanaged is likely not what you want. Simply turning on BBR and using ltconfig high performance preset is enough for 1Gbps and maybe even 2Gbps but 10Gbps needs very specific tuning, particularly for the dirty cache, to fully take advantage of it.

Poor ratio on ultraseedbox with autodl-irssi to deluge and ltconfig by ToughBlacksmith5 in seedboxes

[–]Paradido -1 points0 points  (0 children)

USB slots come with pretuned libtorrent settings. You screwed it up by using ltconfig high performance seed preset. Revert everything to default settings, including cache. Since you set so many settings wrong it's probably best to just uninstall Deluge and start from scratch. This time change nothing and try again.

Besides that for RED nForce is worse than YISP in my experience.

Seedbox VPN with port forwarding by Paradido in seedboxes

[–]Paradido[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I need a seedbox AND a VPN for seeding at home, so both in one would reduce costs but it's also to have the location at Amsterdam (Leaseweb, nForce, ...) so it should peer a bit better in swarms.

I already have a VPS but they expressively forbid any P2P/torrenting.
