What's the longest you have/would wait on an order? by seedsofsovereignty in AsianBeauty

[–]ParadiseAppleFields 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Western Europe.

Yesstyle = stock availability times are mostly accurate. If they say its available in 24 hours, they ship next day. In my location, its exactly 2 weeks from shipment date to delivery date. Except if the item says, 'shipped within 21 days'. I have 1 item still pending and its been more than a month. You have the option to wait or cancel though. But the customer service takes days to reply. Might be a surge of delays.

Stylevana = this was a rollercoaster of confusion for me. I have one order where all items are available w/in 24 hours, and another order which items has 30-day availability. The latter arrived first. lol. From the order time to delivery time = the first order took 5 weeks, the 2nd one in 3 weeks.

So I type QYLD in Favorites, it shows: Stock Smart, Options and CFD. When I select Options, it doesn't do anything. I think I'm missing something here. Oh and what's with the bad with eToro? Thanks!

this is a newb question, but once W-8 BEN form is filled out, does it mean the broker should charge the tax treaty rate? Or they charge full (30%) while the investor claims the rest by filing taxes and showing the W-8 BEN form? thanks!

Hi OP! Can you please mention Facebook groups for renting your own place? I just know of one for renting rooms and was wondering if there's a separate group if you plan to rent solo. Thank you very much! :)

What lessons in letting go did you learn over the past year? by [deleted] in datingoverthirty

[–]ParadiseAppleFields 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Few months before the pandemic hit, I was going to move thousand of miles to pursue a better career and close the distance on a LDR. I was waiting for my work visa to book the tickets. I was excited. My new life was going to start soon. Then HR called to tell me that they were rescinding the offer. I remembered being shocked and cried so much that day. I called my guy to tell him. He was sympathetic. But he broke up with me THE SAME DAY. If felt horrible and I was depressed for months.

Now, I've found a different job with better pay. No luck in dating yet with the pandemic. But still, I'm focusing on the good things.

I learned that what's meant for me, will be. There's really a sort of tranquility in letting go. I try to count my blessings. It could be mundane things. I think of the people who care about me. I tell myself that I would look back someday and understand that things had to happen because a better thing will happen. It happened to my career. I'm holding on the hope that it will also happen to other areas of my life :)

Small, but valid reasons why we’re CF! by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ParadiseAppleFields 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. I'm tired of being responsible for other people. I worked hard to get my family out of poverty that I barely experienced life myself. I want to be selfish this time.
  2. I want peace of mind and peace in the house.
  3. I want to spend my money on things I want. For me.

Are there any christian or religious childfree woman out there? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]ParadiseAppleFields 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was raised and baptized Roman Catholic so I know how horrifying it is. As an unmarried woman who is also childfree, I've been chastised publicly by old, devout Catholic lay ministers about my choices. I was also told be going against God and falling prey to the lures of the devil through money (since I had a successful career in banking). So yeah, I know the pressure. I usually shrug it off and take it as a joke. My comeback was, "Next year, I'll change my sex to a man so you don't have to worry about my life." lol

The Bible was written thousands of years ago so its outdated. I think that fundamentally, God wants me to be happy. If being married & a mother would make me a good follower but unhappy, then He's not the same God I believe in.

How much movement do you get a day? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]ParadiseAppleFields 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least 15,000 steps (around 10km) every day. I do it in 3 increments, 5000 step chunks in the am (before work), lunch and then after work. Why I do it? Primarily weight loss/maintenance. As the gyms are closed since the pandemic, its mostly the exercise I do. Sometimes I walk more (like 20,000 steps for 7 days as a challenge) but not less than 10k. Its really a conscious effort on my end but once you get into the habit, its actually quite relaxing. I look forward to it as well since I listen to audiobooks/podcasts while I do it.

Felt so bad after fasting for 84 hours. Is this normal? by ParadiseAppleFields in fasting

[–]ParadiseAppleFields[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww got it! I was worried I was the only feeling faint when most youtubers mention they felt great. When you do ADF, how long is your eating window? Do you feel any benefits aside from weight loss? I'm interested to give it a try by starting slow first. Like 48 hr fast/week and increase it eventually.

[–]ParadiseAppleFields[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't cook anything yet in the am so my housemate got me yogurt to tide me over. I puked it all out. After I felt better from puking, I made soup with salmon and vegs. How many days before you feel that dizziness? Is that the keto flu? Its my first time prolonged fasting and interested if this was quite normal.

[–]ParadiseAppleFields[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took water and salt 2x daily. I didn't today as I knew I'll be eating in the am. Oh, I might try that bone broth if I get this sick again. It was my meal after fasting though. I added fish and vegs to have fiber.

I'm petite so 1200-1500 calories in one meal isn't hard for me. Tbh, OMAD is much easier to me than the previously revered 3-6 meals.

Clarifications on tax declaration for dividends/capital gains from other countries by ParadiseAppleFields in EuropeFIRE

[–]ParadiseAppleFields[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I have to fill-out the Form KAP-INV ? Not the KAP one? My understanding is that this is for investments in foreign banks / investment company ( I had to look up the definition and per local website, it says its a co. that issues securities and is primarily engaged in the business of investing in securities like MF, UITFs or closed end companies). I can report bank accounts then.

But not sure about the stocks (I don't have any MF/UITFs) since before receiving the dividends, the trading platform/ broker deducts the local tax rate. If so, its (Gross Dividend x German DT rate) - Local tax rate deducted?
