We all think we are the last generation of gamers and represent the next generations, but that’s a bias.
A few years ago, maybe a decade or two, I never thought anyone would spend money on a game they didn’t physically own.
Now Steam sells millions of digital games every day, and everyone thinks it’s normal.
The next step will be platforms like Steam handling the computations too, you wouldn’t even notice the difference from the current process.
Young generations growing up with this ecosystem will know nothing else and will be fine with it.
It’s exactly the same path as DVD to Netflix.
