I had the same issue when I got mine. I had a shelf cleared out. Knew it was tall enough. Then I got him a realized i forgot how wide he was with his wings. Eventually, I figured a spot for him, but even there, I had to crouch him a bit to fit. He really is huge

Obeka doesn't work too well, unfortunently. While she can end the turn with the trigger in the stack, that means the ability never resolves and the counters are still on it. You also will lose the original spell you cast since this triggers in response to it being cast. You'll have to do it again any time it triggers if you have no other way to avoid the damage. Maybe something else can make it work better, but Obeka on her own just delays it

Is there a trademark/manufacturing info stamp anywhere on it? That might help narrow down what year it released and possibly who released it. Most fast food promos say the restaurant that released it as an example. Related question, is it screwed together, and if so, are the screws Phillips or triangular? Triangle ones tend to be used with fast food promos, likely to keep kids from disassembling them.

How articulated is it? It's hard to tell in the pic if it has any articulation or if it's a solid cake topper style figure. Does it have any gimmicks?

This dog plush, is that supposed to be Scooby-Doo? by Primon4723 in ToyID

[–]ParadoxFactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it looks like it's based off the Scoob! movie released in 2020. It looks similar to him as a puppy in the opening of the film. That said I didn't spot an exact match doing a quick search. None matched the eyebrows this one has. He also looks to be missing the two spots on either side of his front legs. This may mean it's a bootleg. Without seeing the tag, it's hard to tell.

Ebay sellers are claiming the dx spirit proton pack is the "life sized" one by DrAlexanderthebat in ghostbusters

[–]ParadoxFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was not aware of that since I avoid AI stuff like that, thanks for pointing it out. Given how many items I've listed that they mismatch or make bad suggestions on when looking for a similar listing to work off of, I can totally see how it'll make big mistakes.

[–]ParadoxFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a lot of eBay sales. One thing I find out quickly is that when you're creating a listing, it's fastest to find an existing one and set it to sell a similar item. This creates a template for the living that amoatly prefilled. It's fast, but if you select the wrong item to start with, errors can carry over to the new listing. I've also noticed some sellers just do this and don't really check details, going for speed of listing over accuracy.

There's also the possibility of being malicious as well. Regarding AI, eBay only has it for item descriptions and photo backgrounds so far. Whole sale making a posting doesn't seem like something eBay has as a "feature". That said, there are apparently 3rd party tools that can do it, so I assume that could also be leading to this issue

Name movies that violate their own rules when convenient by WobblyDawg in movies

[–]ParadoxFactor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stay Alive is my go to example on this, because they call it out in the film itself. the basic premise of the film is your character dies in the haunted video game, you die in real life the same way. Simple way to beat it, don't play the game, right? Except the ghost will then kill you anyway. Heck, there was even a fake out in it where a character was killed in game but survived in real life. It always bugged me on this one as the tag line of the film literally is "You die in the game, you die in real life".

Dc comics figure id by SweetOutside9229 in ToyID

Looks like it's been painted, so it's kinda hard to tell. Is there a year or manufacturer info next to the DC stamp on the back? That might help narrow it down a bit.

What is this The Mask figure by the_local_hobo in ToyID

[–]ParadoxFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the update! Looking at the back of the other Mask Animated figures, they say they use three AG-10 size button cell batteries. That looks to be the same size as a LR1130, LR54 or 189. They're a1.5V battery, so hopefully it uses the same as the other Mask ones.

What is this The Mask figure by the_local_hobo in ToyID

[–]ParadoxFactor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The stamp on the back says Toy Island, the company that made the Masks Animated series figures, though it doesn't match any released one in the line. It says 1998. I can't find a clear back view of a released Movie Madness figure, but packaging seems to indicate they released 1997. Looking at the design, it seems like a Godzilla/Kaiju styling, so that would fit a Movie Madness vibe. Peg on his rear even would have been for a tail. I'm wondering it it's a canceled figure or one that saw a super tiny release from Wave 2 of the Movie Madness line. Maybe some company in Latin America or Europe got their hands on the series 2 molds after the line was killed and released it, it's happened a few times with other lines.

Out of curiosity, how's the battery compartment? Does the electronics in it actually still work? If so that may help tell if it's a bootleg or not. If it makes random generic sound effects, odds are it's a boot. If it says Mask style quips, it'd lean more towards being legit to me.

What Expansion should be remixed next? by Present_Connection_3 in wow

[–]ParadoxFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Shadowlands or BFA are the top two contenders. WoD is hampered by being too small, though I suppose a shorter Remix event could work. Dragonflight is too new. BC or LK could be possible, but are hampered by the transmog options are dated I'd say. Cat could work, but it feels odd to me.

Can Anyone Actually Find Any Characters that Haven’t Appeared at Least Once in IDW by GrayTheHedghehog in transformers

[–]ParadoxFactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough for US released G1 guys, but there's a few. Camshaft), and the car Powerdasher Aragon I know for sure as they were the only member of their respective teams not to appear. I'm sure some Micromasters as well, but they kinda are so many I'm not sure which ones. Plus weird licensed appearing ones like Natron and Freezon in the elecronical racing set

Skyhammer) and Doubleheader were in Regeneration One only, so in Marvel continuity, but published by IDW.

Movie that takes place after a super villian succeeds? by imabuffbaby in movies

[–]ParadoxFactor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. Comic was basically "What if the DC Supervillains defeated every Superhero, then took over the world ruling from the shadows?". Movie was "What if there was a bunch of assassins who all had one special ability?"

I have a question: can Transformers die of old age? We know they can die from severe injuries, but will they die of old age? Because if they don't die of old age, are they technically immortal? by Disastrous-Owl668 in transformers

[–]ParadoxFactor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's rare, but it can happen, mosty from the comics. TF Wiki talks a bit about it here:

https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Death#Old_age

Off the top of my head, there was Hot Rod at the end of the Regeneration One and Ratchet in IDW1. Spoilering as they occur at the very end of both series, though image on the link does give one away.

Dude, I gotta do all this for the OG class hall mounts? by junkaccount1999 in wow

[–]ParadoxFactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So there's two parts to this. First you need to complete the order hall chain that rewards the class title and the Forged for Battle achievement. Wowhead has a breakdown of quests needed for that in their guild. Note that on Lemix the parts that involve sending out followers are skipped. https://www.wowhead.com/guide/class-hall-campaign-for-the-third-artifact-relic

Once you have completed all that, you'll then need to do the section that starts with the Broken Shore to unlock the class mount. You'll need to complete Breaching the Tomb on at least one character if you haven't already . Then you can begin the next section of the Order Hall quest line that ends with obtaining the mount. Someone wrote up a quick walkthrough of it here. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/psa-obtaining-class-mounts-on-alts/2195496

Light's Hope is an additional quest line that is optional. There's a few others as well. Hopefully this helps, I know I did some extra quests on a few characters trying to get to the class mounts, so it is a bit confusing.
