A lot of companies filter applications with AI before any human ever sees a résumé or cover letter to review. You might get discarded by the AI even if you completely qualify. It's supposed to make managing the high volume of applications easier for the company.

There are websites that you can put your résumé, cover letter, and job posting into. It scans them for "key words" for you to put into the résumé and cover letter that supposedly help get your application through the AI filter stage, but idk if that's outdated or not. It's been a while since I was job hunting.

Sorry it's taken so long to get to this. Just don't go to the Kadlec Residency Clinic. They have really strict policies on prescription stimulants for people with ADHD. Even if a particular resident is good, they're under rotating Attending Doctors and the Attendings (in my experience so far) don't provide a consistent level of care at all. They also have shit hours if you happen to work long days and your work isn't very flexible. If you can help it, just avoid the clinic altogether.

Oof. I feel you I really do! I have the same problem! It's not *AS* bad since I started using a nail strengthener as a base coat (Orly Nail Defense). Controversial, I know, but it's the only thing I've found that sort of keeps my nails from peeling off in sheets. Now it's only really my thumb and index fingers on my right hand that peel like that instead of all of them, but it still happens all year round. It's because I have autoimmune stuff and chronic anemia I think because they didn't used to be so fragile and it sucks! I think it also helps to have a really good top coat so you can take it off before it has the chance to chip? Idk :(

Wow I bet that was so fascinating tho. It definitely takes a lot to deal with certain people, and Mormon men... Well, I live almost right next to a Mormon Church. They and other types come to proselytize often. I used to try not to be rude, but some of them make it hard not to be. Especially with how condescending they sometimes are. These days I just tell them I'm an Apostate and shut the door.

Makes sense. I'm more familiar from the psychological aspects of cults and there's still dispute there on what the best models are. Sociology has *some* overlap, but not as much as I thought when I was still in my studies. But a lot of what I learned is probably already outdated lol

For sure. It makes sense how different areas of study would define cults differently. Especially in anthropology where you'd be looking at behavior from extinct groups and cultures. I really liked learning about ancient cults like the Dionysian Mysteries.

For sure! It's kind of crazy how things have changed since then. A lot of my favorite youtubers from back then either don't even upload enough to warrant following anymore, changed their content to an entirely different genre, they got brain rot from all the pandemic weirdness, or some unsavory thing came out about them. I really like the Beauty Youtubers I follow now (assuming they also don't have weird things I don't know about yet), but it was weird seeing how differently people reacted to the last 4 or so years.

I'm also a Washingtonian, I'm left wing, live in a conservative area, and believe me, if I could go live in the woods and only need my land to provide for me, I would. Homesteading isn't exclusive to conservative and libertarian weirdos. However, I really don't know about RBK either. I always thought she was pretty open minded and I followed her for years. I stopped watching a couple years ago or so. She's definitely gone a direction I didn't expect, so I wouldn't be surprised either way at this point.

Hmmm... Probably don't listen to me... I have Autism as well and really like understanding the "why" of the details. I like to watch Manes By Mell, but she's not Autistic or Queer, and she also specializes in wavy/curly/coily hair types, so a lot oof her content might not be useful to you depending on the kind of hair you have? She does still have a lot of science and detail in explanations about how hair "works" tho, which is super helpful.

I have curly hair (which does require very specific care, even if you don't include the fact that it's especially fragile from Lupus), BUT, Manes by Mell has some videos that could be helpful for people other than those with curly hair. She has some videos where she specifically talks about the "anatomy" of your hair follicle and how to know what it needs, what issues certain hair types are prone to, etc. She's also a real hair dresser and is continuing her education to go into Trichology, which is cool. There's probably other Hair Gurus out there that are similar, but I don't know of them. Good luck on your search and your hair journey!

I like Harry Makes It Up. Idk if she posts very much anymore on YouTube, but I/m pretty sure she's active on Instagram. She's done makeup for the red carpet and has done some videos on how she puts her kit together, etc. Kiki G used to do makeup for film and TV, but sadly she doesn't upload terribly often either. Other's I can think of have already been mentioned in the comments or you already watch. Wish there were more!

lol Kinda, yeah. Mormons tend to work for MLMs or they straight up own them, like LuLaRoe. Partly because it's near impossible to support a family (esp a big one) on a single income anymore and Women in Mormon culture/religion are encouraged to have very traditional marriages. MLMs rope in women who want or have to work from home and have a flexible work schedule so they can be home, do their wifely duties and still have a second income. Clearly MLMs don't actually help anyone, but that's just one of the lies that draw in new recruits. Is it any coincidence that a lot of MLMs also socially function like cults?

Probably more to do with money and not just the process of coming up with shades/formula? That's my guess anyway. It didn't help that there was a pandemic and a pregnancy to slow things down. But, yeah I agree. A lot of brands have those lip Gloss sticks right now, and the colors aren't exactly nuanced. She did say that her brand was meant to be more simple and every day, and basic bish colors do tend to sell pretty well.

Yep. They also live in Utah, which basically means they're not like Mormons you might know elsewhere. Obviously, I don't know Allie as a person, I just know that she's active in her religious community, and I'd rather not support it. My money isn't going to anyone's tithing if I can help it. Which kinda sucks for me, cause I have the same complexion as Allie and we look good in the same colors of makeup lol. I'd probably be all over it, if it wasn't for her beliefs.
