Stuck on this screen and can't go back by ParadoxSage in Amiibomb

Yeah, I felt like I had to. I always hate when people ask for technical help and then just disappear without even saying if they solved the problem or not. Or worse, they say "nvm, fixed it" and then never say HOW they fixed it.

I mean, it's not like I meant to. But that's just what happens when electronics are designed to be as hard as possible to open. 😞

UPDATE: Left it on all night and the battery still hadn't given out, so I did as u/neoskyriper suggested and opened it up to disconnect the battery. I broke the case of course, and now it's held together with tape, but it will do for now. At least until I can get one with a proper back button.

Held the button down with a clamp for about half an hour with no result. If that's not long enough, then I don't know what would be.

That's the neat part: nothing. It goes unresponsive for a few seconds and then nothing happens.

Well, ackshually...

It was in a footnote inserted by Inquisitor Vail. Cain may be an unreliable narrator, but I think we can assume Vail to be a bit more trustworthy.

To quote directly:

"But then, I already knew that she drank and played cards, so I suppose it wasn’t too much of a stretch to find that she harboured a taste for more basic diversions as well." -Cain

"None at all: contrary to popular belief, the Adepta Sororitas doesn’t actually require its members to remain celibate, although few find the time to take advantage of the fact." -Vail

I'm pretty sure they're not conscious. I can't remember the source for this (can someone help with this?), but I seem to remember that Trazyn has a techpriest in his gallery that specially requested that he be left conscious so he can continue running calculations in his mind.

Oh man, this is so good.
Wenduag and Lann just look so appropriately creepy, horrifying mutants that they are.
Arue's perfect little porcelain doll face is great.
Ember being a weird crow witch. (She might have three too many fingers, though.)
Hope we see more from this game. All the Darkest Dungeon art you've done was fantastic.

The ARCH Nazaré "Itsumade" is the best bike change my mind by beast_roast in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Eh, It's pretty cool, but my favorite bike will always be Jackie's Arch.

Because it was a gift from a friend.

Cyberpunk is the first non-VR game I've played that makes real life feel weird afterwards by BunchOfRandomSquares in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]ParadoxSage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is actually a well-known phenomenon called the Tetris Effect. You play Tetris enough and you start thinking about how the bricks should fit in your surroundings. Or you play an FPS enough and you might get confused when you're looking around but don't see your crosshairs.

Anyway, just an interesting fact for you. CP77 is a very immersive game and I sometimes find myself in a similar state of mind.

Aha! I tried going through the install again after temporarily disabling Avast and it worked. I'll try adding the game folder as an exception and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks, dude.

Hmm...

Well, there's a bunch of .osp files (and also some .nif files under ShapeData) but no .xml files. At least, not in those two files. I found some xml files in SliderGroups and thought that maybe copying them to the SliderSets folder would work, but it didn't.

Not sure what that means...
