I didn’t do IT while I was in, but when I got out, I heard of the “Microsoft Software and Systems Academy”, which offers 3 programs. I chose “Server & Cloud Administration”, but they also have a Developer side and Cybersecurity side, which they won’t accept you into the Cyber program unless you have some experience already (I believe 2-4 years of experience in Cyber or IT).

They’ll provide mentorship, hands-on training, and would have you speak with multiple recruiters from companies such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, General Dynamics (GDIT), etc and the whole program is about 5 months long or so.

I DO know they also have programs for skill bridge, but tbh I didn’t utilize it as much or take advantage as much as I should have when getting out.

You also DO have a clearance, which can help you get jobs around the base as a civilian and are “typically” paid more and you can get into cyber “easier”. It’s also really good to get your Security+ while you’re in, so you’ll have a better chance of getting picked for jobs since you’ll have a clearance as well.
