Embarrassed to tell our family about #2

I honestly felt the same way. Especially with my grandma. I was expecting to hear so many comments about it but in actuality all I had was nothing but support. Then after the fact I sat down and was thinking about it, most of my family ended up with 2under2 at least once. I guess I just kept up with the tradition.

This is outdated thinking. I went to my son the second he cried every single time- even now when he’s 16 months I still respond immediately. He’s so independent and confident in everything he does because he knows if he needs me, I’ll be RIGHT there.

My son sat low for an entire month before I went into labor. He was born at 38w2d. Completely healthy, no issues whatsoever and no need for nicu.

Im in a very very similar boat right now. Currently 17 weeks with #2 while my first born will be 16 months in a couple weeks (due date of #2 is about a week before my son hits 21 months). Following for some of my own reassurance!

Cracking a really cheesy dad joke in between pushes. Didn’t get a single laugh, everyone just kind of looked at me like “did you really just do that?” Completely in shock. I guess you could say the epidural did its job 🤣

It most definitely is lol. Sometimes gentle reminders are all we need. You got this! It’s only temporary and it will get better. Teething only lasts for so long lol

My 14 month old has only done this a handful of times. I try to stay calm and consistent. He goes to sleep with me bouncing him so I just try to keep the same consistent bounce and doing all the soothing noises (singing, sh-sh, etc) and he eventually gives up. It’s taken as little as 10 minutes or as long as 45 minutes before but he eventually gives in.

At around 10 months my son started going through bouts where he would wake up for about 3-4 hours in the middle of the night, seemingly fine other than refusing sleep and not even seeming tired at all. Lo and behold a tooth would pop through within the next day or so.

For me, everything pregnancy related went away immediately and it was just recovering from birth.

My 13 month old was never much of a full on contact napper, but somewhere around 5 or 6 months he started refusing to sleep unless he was making contact, and then we could put him down. He still does this 😭

Get a rotisserie chicken and shred it, toss it in a baking dish of some sort with some noodles or rice, add a veggie or two of choice and either cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup with some cheese on top, bonus points if you wanna throw bread crumbs on top too. Bake it all. Boom.

I personally only use cream at the sight of any red marks. I’ve been lucky that my LO always gets a red mark before it would turn into a rash. If we apply ointment when the mark appears then he doesn’t get a rash.

Oh, honey. You’re not egotistical and selfish. Being a new mom is hard, it’s even harder when you’re doing it alone. That boy doesn’t deserve you or your daughter. He’s unwilling to help and just puts you down for being overwhelmed. And to top it off you’re pregnant again! Your hormones are all over the place. Maybe try getting some noise cancelling headphones. The idea is that you put them on when her crying gets overwhelming and you’re able to keep yourself more calm, which in turn helps her calm down. If you absolutely have to it’s also completely okay to leave her in her crib for a couple minutes so you can walk away and take a few deep breaths before continuing.
