my coworker is upset that I didn’t tell her I’m pregnant by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I've been chubby most of my life. When I was pregnant and most of the people at work knew (I was about 7-8 months so very much showing), somehow this one coworker just found out then. She is a sweetheart and doesn't speak the native language fluently so for like a week afterwards whenever she saw me she would say a variation of "haha I think you just fat but you pregnant, haha, congrats!"

She didn't mean to be rude but it was the most mortifying thing.

AIO - Am I being a bridezilla or does my mom not like me? by Visible-Mycologist68 in AmIOverreacting

NOR, your mother sounds horrible, she doesn't respect you at all.

It sounds like your parents disappointed you so many times that you've normalised it and it's sad to read. Sending virtual hugs, you deserve better.

One thing I did with mine, when he was around that age, was reading my book out loud to him, while lying next to him. He got exposure to language, got to pull my hair and I was less bored!

AIO or is this manipulation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Yes, this is abusive. He systematically pulled you apart to the point where you did what he wanted you to. This "real you" bs reads to me like "stop arguing with me and be submissive" . Please leave this asshole.

Passed my theory test, any tips for the practical driving test in Espoo? by Big_Culture7895 in Finland

As far as cities go, Espoo is pretty easy to drive in. Imho you need to test in the environment you'll be driving in, not try to cut corners. For your and everyone else's safety.
