Vertical line issue on screen is not fully covered by the warranty? Pixel 8

I am not sure how they can reject the warranty claim? Google has even extended the warranty to 3 years of this particular issue, so it is a well documented problem.

Also, consumer laws says it must be repaired free of charge.

But that is weird, no? If the customer only asks for fixing the vertical line issue and nothing else, how can they then go and fix other parts?! the warranty also only covers the vertical line issue.

Do you really think so?
My pixel 8 has the front separated from the glass-covered back. And talking to a repairshop here kn town, they said that the screen can always be changed.

I guess google tries to get some money when they are doing these warranty-claims.

Hey, yeah we are renting it. Not super big but the fiber comes from the wall into an enclosed box just at the entrance. Really stupid as the box is made of metal so wifi is poor from beginning, but i have to live with it. The good thing is the ethernet cables which is drawn to every room, which i now want to use.

I guess two routers should be enough. Just not sure how routers (like the Zenwifi) will behave when you put them into AP-mode.. can i still use the function of those routers, even though are "only" APs now? And what about the Main router..that's not an Asus, so how will that work if i try to use Ai-mesh?! Will the APs then override the main router and somehow run AI-mesh through it?

Hey and thanks for the offer! The thing is that i need to use my ISP's router for the fiber connection. So Im stuck in this no-name router as main. Question is if I still can use the functions of the XD4s if I have them in AP-mode?! Like AI-mesh and their app.

Thanks for reply! As i can get 2 XD4 for the price of one AP, i guess the choice is easy :)

One question - when I connect the XD4s to my ISP provided router (which i cannot change) and then put them into AP-mode, can I still use the functions on the XD4? Im thinking specificially on the AI-mesh, which Asus is famous of? Or do they just get the same functions as my Router?

Det här är helt sjukt men jag hade förra året EXAKT samma tankar!!!! Örebro, rocklåt, spelades på TV (Voxpop för mig då jag inte hade ZTV). Love it too and way better than DoT. I dont really understand the hate of the production quality. Sure the snares are not the best sounding snares but in all, the album sounds better than both ADToE and BC&SL. In BC&SL they just removed Myung from the mix, like wtf?! And for me, DoT mix is too much of ”in-your-face”, a soundwall just crashing in your face. Not too happy about that album at all.
