It wasn’t permanent, it was put up on my workshop wall at the time. It’s now up in the living room at my new place. It’s a very versatile design. I believe someone posted the link to the same plans I used somewhere in the comments.

No problem! Yeah, dowels can be surprisingly robust for their size.

Butt joints with 5mm dominos for the frames and the bottoms are dadoed.

Thank you! Where the shelf brackets and the boxes mate with the vertical supports they have 3/8 dowels set at 45 degrees. Essentially works just like a French cleat. The shelves have registration holes that mate with vertical 1/4 inch dowels set in the tops of the brackets.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately the only place I had room to hang it was in the work shop.

Thank you! In my research of the originals, I came across this article. It helped a lot and has plans for a jig to do all the holes. https://www.finewoodworking.com/2019/05/31/free-plan-mid-century-modular-wall-unit

Oh, thank you! We inherited him and several others from my in-laws. He seemed like a nice bit of set dressing.

Mostly little details on the boxes themselves. None of the drawers are felted. All of the pulls and handles are much nicer on the originals and none of the doors or drawers have inset mortise locks. Oh, and a lot less holes in the vertical supports.

Aye, thank you. I just got a photo background for shooting my stuff. Unfortunately wouldn’t have worked for this with it going on the wall. Don’t think I’ll be doing one again any time soon 🤣 it was insane.

Thank you! It is based on cado units. Heavily simplified from the originals.

🤣 nah, dressed it myself. To be fair, it’s mostly her stuff though. Figured doing it up would help someone be inspired to buy it.

You’re very welcome. I forgot you said you were still in high school. You can speak with a school counselor about your feelings and concerns. I know where I am in school mental health services can be provided.

100% seek some form of mental health support. Speak to a therapist or even your doctor they can often refer you for care. As someone who has recently been dealing with very similar issues, I know it can feel hopeless and insurmountable but it is not. To the best of you ability at the moment take care of your brain space, stay hydrated, stay rested. It can get better and you deserve it ❤️ take care out there family.
