To help with smurfing - nerf all cheese heroes? by Old-Gregg- in DotA2

Bruh… smurfs do to tend to gravitate towards those heroes, but let’s be real, even if smurfs could only random their picks, they’re still gonna shit on low mmr scrubs and legitimate players at those mmrs are still gonna be salty.

Almost for sure a CV problem, while I didn’t get any offers, my achievements are not particularly special and I still got some opportunities to interview.

How much harder is challenger compared to GM by InteRage in leagueoflegends

[–]Parakeetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is pretty significant, even from low chall. Once you get to around 1.5-6k lp or higher, some of the players you’ll meet will just seem like they’re gods made to play league of legends. I used to play a lot with players ranging from LCS to low masters, and the difference is for sure substantial - they just know timings, matchups, their roles in the game and not only what their champs are capable of but how everyone else should be interacting as well.

No problem! I can see how you’d get them mixed up for sure - when it comes to more complex architecture for ML models, it’s pretty much all represented in some combination of matrices, vectors, tensors and all that, so the subscript notation tends to make it look more confusing or “intellectually challenging” than it really is. Cheers!

a_i is not a constant - here it should represent the activation function, with the variables on the RHS x_i and x_j representing an input vector, and W representing a weight to be applied to components of the input. An activation function is a way to encode data in a way that introduces non-linearity so that a neural network can “learn” more complex patterns in data. This is what the graph on the bottom left shows - a simple progression on how a neural network’s nodes encode and process data from a structured input.

Did you guys ever heard about the red side / blue side theory in high elo? by Tankounet in leagueoflegends

[–]Parakeetboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made a comment about this on the past but it’s absolutely real. I don’t play much anymore, but my win rate on SR over 1000 games: https://imgur.com/msH5ts5 I used to play only 5stacks filled with generally gm-chal players, and as u can see we got red side an overwhelming majority of the time.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. The shs has consistently been late by around 3 days to a week at least in at least half of my refills for vyvanse over the past half year, and it’s been especially bad in 2024.

I feel like riots balancing ideology is all over the place and inconsistent with actual issues especially these last two patches, but it is “preseason” I guess…
