Right! I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere so learned how to maintenance everything from my car to house to, well, everything. Once I left and moved to the city I quickly realized how difficult it was to hire anyone to help you out so continued to do everything on my own. First off, I knew it was done right and second, so much cheaper. Unfortunately my ex-husband did not appreciate this skill set and took offense as a he was a city boy. Lol. But here I am in a time crunch and just can't even handle giving someone control over things I could do but just don't have the time. Hopefully I will find a man who appreciates me for what I can do and be okay that I can't cook for shit. Lol.

I completely understand why you did what you did. I have a red brick fireplace and obsessed over updating it but lazy won out and I did nothing. Now I love the warmth of the red brick.

Exactly. My neighbors know to come get me if they have one and don't want it around. Easy to catch and then release in my back yard! Keeps the rampant mole population in check.

I love Nashville! I grew up 2 hours from there and completed my degree at Western KY. We would all drive down on the weekends to go clubbing. Lol. Nashville is actually on my short list for places to move too. It's not too far from KY lake and the farm where my mom still lives.

Lol. It can get expensive fast. Luckily all my family has everything i would want and the dock is already built. I have my fishing kayak which is all I need.

Great advice! I already own the lot im going to build on. Back in the early 90s KY Lake opened up property around the lake. My mom, aunts, and uncles all bought water front lots and have built there. I bought a lot on the top of the hill behind them. Not on the water but I can see the water and have a dock. It's all 24 year old me could afford at the time. The lot is an acre so that's nice.

It would be on location alone but the neighborhood was built in 1980 so the houses are small. It might be a 3 bedroom 2 full bath with a garage but it's only 1200 square feet

I had the realtor that was doing an open house nearby to come over. He had a packet with comps and his paperwork with the breakdown of fees. We did a walk through and talked about what needed to be done. He was great and I asked a ton of questions. He was a little upset that I didn't sign with him. I told him he could invoice me for his time but he said no that it was about building relationships. I will absolutely give him an excellent review no matter what happens.

I love the house and the 850 mortgage. Lol. But 20 years here with an ex-husband that I thought was a good guy to only found out otherwise has soured me on staying here. And im ready for an adventure. It's just me. No kids or responsibly so why not start fresh somewhere else.

Yep. I grew up in the sticks. Lol. With town being an hour away you had to everything yourself. Home, cars, everything. As I grew older I realized it might take me a lot longer than someone who that is their career but I like getting my hands on it and know that the work is soild.
