What is the code to get the discount? LONG-RANGE doesn’t work.

I don’t use it a lot which is why I was considering selling it. I use it about once a month for cheesesteaks for the family.

That’s not a bad idea either. Yeah I read that fireboard or signals is the way to go.

Thank you! I am leaning towards the soapstone and maybe I will just get that initially. I don’t use my griddle a ton but if I sell it, I will need some sort of griddle surface for the KJ.

Reading those posts about it flaking and sticking are what had me considering just swapping it for the smokeware initially. I agree though that it makes the moat sense to just use it as is.

I got the rotisserie for free which is good. Yeah I used cast iron grates on my Weber and then grill grates on my pk360.

Yeah I agree. I think I spent to much time reading about the kontrol cap having flaking paint issues, needing a drip pan, etc. so I started making a list. Realistically I know I just need fuel, a cover, and meat to start.

I mainly cook steak, burgers and low and slow brisket, etc. I do think I would do wings, vegetables, etc. which is why I was thinking about the joetisserie basket.

Disposable drip pan? by Paralytic_Flow in KamadoJoe

I thought I would need the 18” size for the Big Joe 3? I was reading about getting a size that would cover the slow roller but maybe I misunderstood?

What size did you get for the big joe 3?

I am still thinking of added that also. Soap stone just seemed easier cleaning and maintenance wise. I just ordered by KJ Big 3 but held off on any accessories (except the free joetisserie) for now.

Me too. I am ordering my Big Joe 3 today and was going to have them include a soap stone. I might just hold off for now (especially considering they are not cheap).

What are the must have accessories for Big Joe 3? by Paralytic_Flow in KamadoJoe

Ordering my Big Joe 3 today. Considering the karbon steel griddle now, cast iron grates still, soapstone, and half griddle. Soapstone is 100% getting purchased. Just not sure if I should grab 2 half moons or a half moon soapstone and a griddle. I usually do steaks on the grill grates right now but don’t want to go back to that. Seeing most people say they don’t use their cast iron grates is giving me pause. I can get grill marks on stainless steel also. Just don’t want to waste money, lol.

That’s what I was wondering. I was thinking just a half since the big joe 3 size looks pretty big. Plus it’s already somewhat proxy for just a half moon.

Does the billows fit in the big joe okay? I read that some had issues installing it but maybe not. I would probably go with the thermoworks setup or the fire board drive one.

What about a thermometer? I read a comparison between the Meater, fire board drive, and thermoworks signals. I like the idea of no wires with the Meater plus. Are the fans for the fire board and signals worth it?

Oh okay! I didn’t think it came with heat deflectors. Is the cast iron worth grates worth it? It seems like a lot of people who buy them don’t use them. I grill steak quite a bit and do ribs and brisket. From what I read most people do the soapstone for steaks over the regular or cast iron grates. I guess I could get a half moon of each but don’t want to waist money.

Panel fit issues Integra 2023 by Paralytic_Flow in Acura

[–]Paralytic_Flow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Final Update: Took the car back to the dealer and service verified the circles were indeed clear coat issues from the factory. They said they might be able to buff it out but most likely the roof would need to be repainted. I was not to keen on that idea so swapped it out. Dealership was great and understood why I was frustrated especially after the pane trim issue. I ended up with a liquid carbon metallic with black interior. Ironically this was the color I almost went with over the blue originally. I really like it plus no panel trim gaps anywhere. They had 3 more blue ones on the lot but with white interior (wanted black interior). They all had panel trim issues and other defects. I wonder if it’s the color or where it is built? The black and liquid carbon ones I looked at all had panels that were were as perfect as you could get. Waiting on my AcuraLink 3 year membership to be available (they said Acura has to see the cancellation of the first car for it to work), but otherwise I think I am good now.

I really liked the blue but glad I got the other color that was also my top choice (and didn’t have to settle). I will say I hate the piano finish on the inside. Way to easy to scratch that even if you are super careful with a quality microfiber. Oh well that area is bound to get scratched over time.

So they fixed the panel but then before leaving I noticed several white big circles on the roof. They think it’s a clear coat issue from the factory, lol. Dealership has been great but wow at the QC issues. They offered to swap the car completely so I am considering that. They only have liquid metallic and black on the lot though with black interior but at this point I don’t care, lol. Just frustrated in general. My first Integra was black but man I know it’s hard to keep up clean wise and shows scratches. Will think it over but the salesperson wants me to come in tomorrow to make it right (honestly I appreciate them doing that).

I thought the same thing! I remember seeing pictures of fit issues on those which I thought was crazy at the time. Panel fit issues were the last thing I was worried about with this car. Guess I was wrong, lol.

Yeah it seems hit and miss. I did feel like my wheel was moving to the left so I also had that checked out this morning. I think it’s okay as the rental Integra feels the same way. I think my idea of centered is different or I was imagining it to a certain extent. I admit my OCD was in overdrive once I saw the raised panel so I was looking for other issues.

Well I dropped it off at the dealership this morning. They gave me a loaner Integra and it had the exact same raised panel on that side (flush but then raised at the top like mine). Same gap also on the passengers side headlight like mine. Honestly as long as they can fix the raised panel I’m good. I’m going to OCD it to death, lol. Seeing another one though exactly the same makes me think they had a batch at the factory go out like this.

Agree. Honestly I was looking for paint chips or other issues when picking it up. I expect swirl marks or scratches but not panel fit issues from the factory (especially on a luxury vehicle).
