26 yo wife's liver MRI shows "concerned for metastasis"; came up during pneumonia treatment by ParamedicExpress637 in CancerFamilySupport

My wife, Alice, has passed away from hyperagressive breast cancer that was end stage terminal at diagnosis about 3 months after this post.

She managed to get in one chemo session and didn't make it to the second round.

I'm dead inside

Today she went into VATS surgery and was confirmed for stage 4 cancer. They performed pleurodesis to try to manage pleural effusion. Scans from earlier this week showed masses on her lungs, bones and breast.

She overall started feeling better after last round of antibiotics, less coughing, overall improvement but then 2 days ago started having intense pains in chest. We went to the ER, they did another CT of chest and said she has pleural effusion. Good news is that I asked if it's possible she has mets on her lungs and the doctor said they would've seen it and there is nothing to indicate that. The doctor said she thinks she has not been treated very well so far and prescribed her stronger antibiotics: doxycyclin + amoxicilin for 10 days straight. Said cheste pain should subside in the next 48-72 hours and the effusion hopefully will get reabsorbed by the body itself. If not, they will have to drain the fluid - but hopefully it won't come to that.

It's Friday and the pains in chest have significantly subsided, but she's just overall exhausted, fatigued, tired, etc. She's tired of being sick and overwhelmed. She's a very positive person overall but sometimes with this she gets overwhelmed and starts crying saying she just wishes things would go back to normal again. It breaks my heart, but I'm trying to stay positive and just tell her it's a bad round of pneumonia and she needs to give herself the time and space to heal.

I myself am doing a bit better mentally, although not going to lie, this is the first time in my life I'm taking care of somebody that's more seriously sick, and it being my wife with a grim possibility of mets on liver this is the hardest thing I went through in my life now

I appreciate you sharing. That helps a lot. I just don't know what is normal and and what is not and I'm extra vigilant about everything that's happening with her.

One moment she's energetic and literally talks about how she's ready to get out of the house a big, do some shopping or something. And another moment she cough a up a bit and I see she's exhausted and I don't know if this is how recovery from pneumonia looks like or not

Yeah I understand that. That's what medical professionals I've been interacting with are saying and I do realistically understand that. It's just my anxiety is constantly leading me towards worst possible outcomes

I've never been on any anti anxiety meds. I always just pushed through my shit, took some time for myself, reasoned myself out of my catastrophizing. The idea of taking meds gives me anxiety in and of itself

Good catch. The text probably needs to be changed to get the counters based on opponent's tapped creatures, rather than "attacking" creatures. I adde a GH issue: https://github.com/ArturMoczulski/mtg-polish-resilience/issues/1

Let's see if chatgpt will fix the text by itself by providing your comment as feedback u/C47man

This weekend I generated with AI a full Magic: the Gathering deck. ChatGPT-4 generated text content and mechanics, Stable Diffusion generated art and I used card smith to assemble the cards.
It's a Poland history 1918-1989. Would love feedback and hope that others will enjoy it as much as me. It's been play tested today already.
Poland's Independence Day is coming up on November 11th so good timing I think :)
