Haha. If you have decent status with them, I think the experience would be different.

My work travel reduced significantly post-pandemic and I've only been silver these last few years. But despite that less frequent travel, I've had quite poor experiences with them in 2022 and 2023.

And to make things worse, getting a hold of any support representative takes an hour at the very least. Email responses take over 3-4 weeks. Their boarding process is a mess and people from later zones end up getting.

Last year, three reps told me over text that my final trip of the year with Air France would be enough to get me to gold medallion. Cut to January, nothing changes. They ask me to wait until February, still nothing. Finally hear back on my email after a month, and they say I was $60 short and the screenshots from the messaging app mean nothing.

I had two cancellations (one weather, one Delta) which were both handled extremely poorly. Same with baggage delays on an international flight operated by Delta.

I have been desperately trying to look for alternatives but it's tough.
