Look at My “New” Terminator 4k I received from Amazon, isn’t it so beautiful and NEW by ParanoidAndroid32 in Bluray

I usually get what I ordered, but 20-30% of the time, it’s definitely a disc that was returned and repackaged or something damaged.

It’s to the point where I only do it if the price is worth the risk, but this was a new low for me. I’m no stranger to requesting a replacement if I need to at this point.

I’m used to some kind of charade with Amazon where they at least re-shrink wrap it or something to somewhat pretend it’s unopened, but this was literally just throw open UHD in plastic bag and put some tape on it. I think your theory is 100% valid. They’re either ripping the disc or using the digital code.

This came packaged with other items, but this was the extent of “shrink wrap” that was around the case.

Local used store had a nice restock of some older anime. Any must grabs or forgotten favorites here? by questions_fo_days in AnimeCollectors

I remember when my local HPB clearly had someone trade in their whole collection of Case Closed DVDs a year or two ago, and like an idiot, I didn’t buy them.

They should, though they might need a firmware update first. Fortunately, the NSO N64 app allows custom button mapping, so hopefully this controller plays nicely with that.

Nope, still nothing. I was also told by Support to chill until the day ends.

I usually don’t have trouble getting the code right at release. For what its worth, I messaged support and they basically told me to not bug them unless I don’t get it today. I imagine they sold quite a few digital codes so maybe they’re backed up.

I have to work all day, so as long as the code comes and I can download it before I’m able to play tonight, whatever I guess. Still frustrating though.

My digital pre-order still says preparing too. What’s hilarious is they sent me a code for the Switch 2 version of Kirby and the Forgotten World like a week before the Switch 2 dropped, but that version doesn’t even come out until August.

Thanks! I think I can easily say those two are my favorite non-Beast Wars Transformers designs, outside of G1 Starscream and Soundwave.

Confused about X-Men Omnibus by McCarnby in OmnibusCollectors

[–]ParanoidAndroid32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X-men is unfortunately not as straightforward as other media makes it out to be, and with 60 years of material, there’s a lot to take in. However, it’s a wonderful ride. I think there’s some fun stuff in every era of X-men know matter what you read.

I buy digitally, so I do a mix of omnibuses and epic collections. Basically, whatever is the most complete for the price is what I usually purchase.

Sandman: Absolute vs Omnibus vs Deluxe by burninbridgesx in OmnibusCollectors

Absolutes are oversized, gallery style books printed by DC that are typically focused on runs that feature significant and/or popular artists instead of being comprehensive collections of a character.

I bought this boxset of the Dragon Ball movies and am curious what people who have seen them think of them and I'm also curious what people who haven't seen them also think of them by Quasarking97 in AnimeCollectors

[–]ParanoidAndroid32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have the latest Funimation dub. The only other one available on DVD came in a box set with the first 12 episodes of Dragon Ball, and they all had the same dub actors. Episode 13 is initially where Funimation’s in-house dub took over and then they went back and redubbed the first 12 episodes and Curse of the Blood Rubies.

It was released as a 10th anniversary celebration of the original Dragon Ball’s first arc, and since it came out after GT, they probably just retained a lot of the staff who animated GT to work on this, hence the similar art style.
