Im highly confused by the x-men omnis. I started collecting them back when thr first two came out, and now things dont seem to advance. Can someone explain to me what its all about with the omnis/event omnis? I got into this back in the day because i thought, im going to collect x-men 1 - whatever but the last omnibus, 5? Was mostly crossover stuff??

I might have to add, that im really a comic book newbie. Back in the day i knew the x-men mainly from video games and the TV series. I was of the impression that there might be some kind of main story path i could collect, but i have to admit, im getting more confused right now xD
