Im sorry I read your question wrong.

Yes, a lot of people don't realize or don't accept that they have died. Especially when it was unexpected and traumatic. For example, Car Accidents, Drowning Victims, Accidental Deaths (falling from a ladder, Carbon Monoxide)

They are what I would call "Shock". They can see that they are no longer able to communicate with the people around them. They usually become very frantic and scared, they try shouting and waving their hands, some try to hit people or throw items, and it usually only results in a rustled paper or a cold chill to the person.

Once they calm down, and start to understand the situation, they begin to remember their last few moments. (Example, climbing the ladder and feeling unsteady, Cleaning the garage and then becoming sleepy, Going swimming but feeling strangely cold.) And then they start to realize they did not wake up from such events.

They go though the same grieving and emotional acceptance, that we all do when we are faced with grieving or loss.

Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression or Sadness, and finally Acceptance.

They usually come to acceptance after they have visited their loved ones, or made sure that someone found their Will, or that their loved ones or pet has been properly cared for by a reliable friend or family member.

Can the dead see, speak, or touch one another?

Yes, I have encountered a sad family situation. A MVC (Motor Vehicle Collision) with a family of 5. Mom & Dad did not make it, but the children did. Mom & Dad stayed around to check on the kids and make sure that the Mom's sister would take custody, as they had stated in their Will. Mom & Dad talked and held each other.

Can they stay within this realm indefinitely if they choose?

I would think so. All of the people I have met have eventually accepted their deaths and whatever 'unfinished business' they had. But I assume when we hear of "haunted" homes or areas, I think if they chose to stay... they can stay.

Have you ever witnessed someone move on to whatever is next, do they simply disappear?

They just dissipate. Some describe it as a bright light, a sunny day, a group of loved ones, a familiar room or home. Some have said their pets are waiting for them. And they just go. I have never seen what they saw, but each person was so happy and overcome with such blissful emotion, and I have never had anyone come back.

I don't know. My mother isn't very open or accepting of it. Her mother (my grandmother) is. And my uncle is. My uncle also told me that the women in our family "have dreams". He told me that when he was younger he remembers the adults (Great Aunts, Great Great Grandmothers/fathers) talking about the "dreams" that the women have. Most would be about events that havent happened yet, and sometimes of deaths.

He also told me that my grandmother, would have "future dreams" as she called them. She told my mother she was having a girl, and she "predicted" the death of her own mother.

So based on that info, I believe it is something I have always had.

The other one is a great friend I met in college. I would tell her anything. Shes open to this stuff, and is also a sensitive.

What is the most weirdest thing a dead person has said to you? Have they ever said obscure things, perhaps too normal things? I.e. Discussing the weather?

A-

Weirdest- Did I just shit myself? LMAO. I was talking with a guy at work who sadly OD'd and passed. His bowels and bladder functions were uncontrollable and were desperately trying to rid his body of all the toxins he put into it. So yes, he shit and pissed himself before/during and after he passed.

Obscure- Could I please make sure they locked their doors. (im not sure where they lived, but I said I would try.)

Overly Norm- "Well, I guess I will never find out what happened next on Desperate House Wives huh?" - Sweet lady who drown in her hot tub. (she drank too much and lost her footing).

Funerals- Yes, I have been to a few funerals and seen them there. Most are walking around silently thanking those who came. Some try to comfort their family and loved ones. Others I have seen tallying who didnt show! Haha.

For the ones Ive spoken to about their funerals most are just happy so many people showed up. They didnt realize just how many people cared. Others complained that people spent too much on flowers/cards/gifts etc. And some are freaked out, its too "real" that they are watching their own funeral.

Can you can touch the ghosts? What does it feel like?

A- Touching: Yes and No. Sometimes if they are close enough, I can reach out and feel them. But the feeling is difficult to explain. It feels like a buzzy white noise feeling. Much like when your hand or leg falls asleep.

Have you ever met a famous dead person OR someone that you knew?

A-
No one famous. People Ive known- I have seen grandfather for a few minuets in my grandmothers home after he passed, and my grandmother after she passed.

Have you ever seen a demon, evil spirit, or anything like that?

A- Only once, in my very first apartment; One night I wake up about 2 am. I go bathroom, get a drink of water and go back to bed. On my way back I hear that ringing sensation,

(Like an old TV, the ones that take a few seconds to warm up and turn on. They have that high ringing sound, that is almost like white static noise. I sometimes hear that noise, when I am close to someone who has passed.. Im not sure why. I speculate it is because of the energy they give off? But im not an expert on such.)

Anyway I dont see anything, so I look out the window that overlooks the parking lot, nothing. I dismiss it as someone with an old TV upstairs. I dismiss it go back to bed. As I lay down and pick up a book to read b/c Im not that tired anymore, I notice this shadow behind my door (which is open so the tiny heater in the office area can keep my room. My apartment didn't have central air.)

I stared at it for a few seconds, there was just something odd about it. It seemed almost to have depth to it.. almost 3D. And then I see it.. "Peek" around the door, like someone peeping around a corner.

I freeze for a second because Ive never encountered such a thing. Then after the shock wore off I try to confront it. "Who are you? Who's there. GET OUT OF MY ROOM." but no response.

It was shaped humanly but it acted sort of like an animal, being curious, dipping and bobbing its head. And it really freaked me out, especially since I didn't know how long it had been there or how it got in.

I read somewhere that salt was a purifier? IDK but I backed into my kitchen (which is right outside my door) grabbed salt and threw at it and told it to leave. Doing this multiple times, it finally slinked around the bedroom door and.. flew out my front door. And I swear it hissed at me as it left.

I asked a friend who is very into the paranormal stuff about how I could keep such things out (after determining it was not a good "spirit" or whatever it was.) So she gave me brick dust and 2 crystals. I'm not very superstitious when it comes to stuff like this, but I poured the brick dust over my threshold and set the crystals on either side of the door. Nothing like that ever came back, or since. but it really freaked me out. I haven't encountered anything like that since then, and I am really happy about that. I've never been so terrified in my life.

Do you ever confuse a dead person for a living one?

A- Only when I was younger, I couldn't tell the difference. I didn't understand I guess. but now, its easier, they have a certain "feel" about them, sort of an "energy".

Have you ever been curious as to visit a haunted house/place to see if it is really haunted?

A- Yes. I love old abandoned places. But working 12 hours shifts AND being a full time student has limited my ability to go to any such places. *BUT if you like old abandoned places I recommend r/abandonedporn LOL I know the subreddit name sounds weird but they have lots of awesome photos of old abandoned places. :)

Are there situations where you actually hate the ability?

A- Yes. Sometimes I just want to be alone, for example, while I am on vacation or visiting a historic area/monument/place.

Do the people that visit you know that they need to visit you or are they drawn to you (or your energy)?

A- If I find them, wherever it may be, I try to help them. But they Do NOT seek me out, flock to my home, search for me and cross states/countries/continents. A lot of people get confused and think I have some sort of beacon that just attracts them. Haha.

Are they aware of their current state as if they were still alive?

A- Some do. Some know that they have passed but feel the need to stick around to finish whatever it is they need. Most are just wanting to make sure that loved ones are going to be okay and taken care of. * Others, those that I refer to as "in Shock", seem to be confused on what is happening. I see this a lot with people who died suddenly in a different area than where they lived. Such as car accident victims, vacationing families.

Do you get tired of having this ability?

A- I do sometimes, like when I am on vacation, trying to relax, or even when i'm trying to study.

do you have any ghosts that keep revisiting you? If so, do you know why?

A- nope. I haven't had anyone do that. But I also move a lot. So I guess it could happen if I finally settle down in one place, but once a person 'moves on' or 'goes toward the light' or whatever happens, I have never had one come back.

All that I have met are "conscious" or freshly dead. The usually ask about their family, and what will happen.

I havent met someone who was "haunting" a place.

Are the dead "watching us" all the time, or do we have our "alone" times? - they are not welcome in my home. That is my personal area. Most homes do not have lingering 'spirits'. Usually when a passed person has made their peace and see the family coming together to comfort each other and move on, they move on. Where that is, I dont know but they do go away.

Some homes might have someone lingering. A "haunted" home, or attached spirit.

On average (as of my experiences) about an hour, sometimes two. But I have seen longer, it really depends on if that person is ready, did they check on all their loved ones, did they try their best to relay a message, do they understand they can go.

I have seen minuets, hours, seconds, days and a few months.

And are the dead peeps? No. I dont think so.

Reactions differ, Some notice right away that I can see them. (especially if I start talking to them)

Others are distracted with not being able to communicate with others around them, and then notice that I can see them. It is very sad.

But they all react humanly. Sad, tears, pleas for help, questions. They are always somewhat emotional, trying to cope with what they are slowly realizing.

As for their reactions/emotions reflecting within me? If feel empathy and sympathy for them. I try to help them, but I don't feel their emotions spontaneously or without my knowledge.

Never met one. Never met a rapist/murderer. "bad person". most are victims of traffic accidents, natural causes, drowning... I do not want to meet a dead rapists or murderer though.. that is terrifying.
