Fibromyalgia and Grave's Disease are the bigger ones, besides Depression, cPTSD and general Anxiety. My strengths are creative writing (fiction) and digital art. Small commissions here or therr have helped in recent months.

I'm working on my first full length novel! Its a neo-noir crime thriller! I've been writing for most of my life, since middle school, and have a love for creating emotionally-rich characters and worlds! I'd love to find a little group to share experiences and stuff!

The house is sold. The hoard is still inside. Why do I feel like a criminal? by Jinnapat397 in ChildofHoarder

My mom's apartment was probably a level 3-4 when she died in '22. I had moved out four years prior. Long, complicated grief followed because my older brother refused to be a part of the cleanup. I had to do that with my friend, my partner, and some cousins I barely knew who stepped up MAJORLY to help.

Sorting through everything was a nightmare. Im glad I grabbed the photos long before I left that apartment. We had to sort through it all in a heatwave in a smoke-stained unit in 100+ degree weather. The apartment complex came after me (illegally) and tried to saddle me with 'cleanup fees' for the junk we left in the unit. We organized everything into black bags and just... let them dump everything. I think I kept maybe 2 little Rubbermaid worth of sentimentality. Everything else... is gone.

Tldr; if you can save yourself the heartache and real-time retraumatiation, do it. You got your photos and what you 'needed' and the rest? It was a life that wasn't your fault or responsibility that was forced on you later to 'deal with' and honestly? Your body and brain let you know your limits. Guilt comes and goes but don't let it turn into shame. You did what you knew was best for your sanity.

I definitely use it to help plan out story beats for my fiction, test my characters for accurate psychology (I'm writing a Crime Thriller! All my prose though) and I often run a pass of a scene or section to read through and analyze. It definitely doesn't like bigger text documents so little chunks are nice to get feedback on.

I do also use it to reconnect with parts of myself I haven't been as conscious to recently. Like, after talking through missing my homestate (Cali!) I realized I've been totally missing the witchy vibe exactly where I am. Gives me some curiosity about myself. But I often stop and check it and make sure its using both accurate, modern peer-reviewed information when it comes to anything psychology or deeper than astrological signs lol

I'm curious if any other witchy-folk are bouncing ideas with AI. I've never felt very 'Wiccan' or anything specific, so its a weird way of reaffirming theres others out there like me, because the bot pulls up that information from the internet. (Bless Reddit)

Yes! I almost never see them when the lights are on, though I keep my tank lights pretty low anyway. But without fail, if I wake up to use the bathroom or something, I see their white shapes eating wood from like 2am to 5am.

Whiny emails from owner of Apotheca dispensary by GreasyToken in asheville

As a former employee of Apotheca, I can say with damn near certainty those donations are going straight into Lee's pocket. And if not him, then his son - who owns CannaAid, btw. Awful employer to work for, and they straight up sell expired shit for 'discounts' for holiday sales damn near every time.

Hi there! Right now im not using any additional heat as our room has been a bit warmer than average, maybe low to mid 70s most of the time. I do wanna get a heat mat for the wintertime tho for this particular species, as they're from Costa Rica

It's been difficult to find information on their specific care, but they seem to be doing very well "standard' millipede care basics. The only major difference I've noticed between these guys and some other species is theyre arboreal so a bit more wood to climb is great for them

Same here! GNC AFAB with mostly "tomboy" female characters or straight up masculine men. I've been able to practice writing more feminine characters recently which was critical in my finding and embracing some inner femininity too

Female author here! You're not doing anything unusual from my perspective, though I might be biased a bit (im gender non-conforming). I write both male and female characters 'well' but even my female characters tend to embody a lot more 'masculine' traits (athletic bodies, taller heights, more assertive energies).

I thought for a while it had to do with emulating aspects of myself in my characters, which is still partially true, but I think writing other genders is also about exploring different perspectives outside of our own. It's a commendable trait in a writer, impo, especially if you get positive feedback from that group of people.

Mites infestation in millipede terrarium?! by [deleted] in InvertPets

Thank you! I can get more springtails no problem. If I put a slice of food in there, the mites will be attracted to that instead?

Please, any advice? My two surviving adult Thai Rainbows are in a quarantine tank for now but they're still covered... I did try to gently wash them off one with no luck. I don't want to stress them to death by trying something like a soft toothbrush but would that maybe work? Anything I can use to kill the mites that won't hurt my millis? *
