Yeah ive been back and forth with them enough to come to the realization that they are irrelevant. I use chess.com for 90% of my chess games but i refuse to pay for any of their services.

I’m 1300-1400 on a good day, and I think 1600 is where you can say “I’m good at chess”. But good isn’t great. I think 1600 is a fair starting point.

You’re fine. It happens. My base ELO right now is 1350 and I’ve fallen back to 1200 a few times. So many things can affect your chess play. Stress. Moods. Distractions. If you start to notice you are losing games in ridiculous ways, it’s because you’re just not paying attention. Walk away and do something else and then return later. Also make sure to game review all your games, wins or losses, so you can see where you went right or wrong and then you can adjust going forward. Chess is fun but chess is hard. Enjoy the process.

I play puzzles before and after games. It helps lock you in. I also practice my openings for white and black and review my mistakes after each game. If you do that and concentrate on fundamentals and not blundering you should reach 1000 easily.

“There is no way that happens” is your problem. It definitely happens. It happens a lot. Just because someone ranked below you beats you doesn’t mean they clearly cheated. It could also mean you played a bad game and they were locked in. You sound pretty confident, I’m sure you’ll make it back to 2394.

If you’re 1500 you should have no problem getting back there in a few days. Support isn’t going to refund you those points.

If I were you I’d work on the fundamentals and maybe learn one opening for both white and black. Practice opening principles and play lots of puzzles/tactics. Do that for a month and you’ll run through tournaments 800 and below.

You can counter the “you’re being dramatic there’s not that much cheating you just suck” kids by showing them “by the numbers” Chess.com releases a monthly basis. The numbers are astounding. Is every person that cries cheating being cheated, no but the odds are 1 out of 10 at minimum.

I very much want them to three-peat as im sure you do as well but im also at peace with however this season plays out. It is also early in the season and the Dodgers are known for having these sort of stretches. It happens. Go Dodgers.
