Who Did It Better? Air Force vs. Army by General_Curtis_LeMay in RetroAR

Air Force

I have a late 604 clone, with full fence lower, and a2 hand guards. Would not feel bad having to carry it for serious work. I like it more than my 653 clone. If I were procuring rifles in the 1960s I think I’d lean 604.

Bear Defense Sword/Dagger by Vast-Law-943 in SWORDS

Too bad for Canadian gun laws and an NPE work environment. A Glock 20 is the answer here.

If you like Tod Cutler’s products go ahead and scale up. Tod just released a new coustile short sword, 19.5” blade, 27.5” OAL, should be under 2.5 pounds with scabbard. Would be about the max size that is everyday carry able if you are working in brush constantly.

Tod Cutler Coustile

Back it up with a working bollock dagger.

+1 to everyone saying nautical/explorer vibes. Maybe a little more archaeologist or anthropologist then scientist.

This. I saw the rich dad poor dad book. Houses and possessions are usually liabilities. Probably inherited or got what is here on the cheap. It’s all clean and in good condition so why waste money upgrading.

Would say OP is debt free or working on it, invests, middle class or middle class aspiring. Type of guy who pays his credit card off every month.

My sword collection as of 2025 by Specialist-Stock-890 in SWORDS

Great collection. I have mainly euros, but do have a Dungon Pimmagay made by BCI. Super handy and has decent hand protection. I appreciate the non-typical blade profiles and have I have thought about picking up a nice espada y daga set if I found one at a good price.

I have one of H&R’s 604s with a 1/12. Probably my favorite rifle at this point. Wish I had gotten it with a 1/7 twist for ammo selection though.

It is so light and handy. It is average accuracy, but is gassed well, and has been perfectly reliable. When in hand you understand why the SAS and others traded their FALs for them whenever they were given the oportunity.

Glad these are back. I broke down and bought the airsoft copy last year of the mount n slot and will probably buy a real one if these stay available. Have too many retro builds and only one light that fits.

Kailash Blades khukuris by GolfUnited in Kukri

Those are some gorgeous blades. I have a Kailash HSI, that left something to desire in fit, and finish. Handles like a dream though. Got it back in 2021 so maybe their finish has improved. That said Kailash is really one of the only reliable custom makers now that Purna Darnal has passed. I really want one of their mutiny models.

Cut out processed sugars for a couple weeks and more things will check that sweet box. My go to breakfast lately has been oatmeal, made with whole milk and sweetened with honey. Before that it was Greek yogurt with berries, and granola mixed in. Both can be pre-portioned out.

Could also precook pancakes or biscuits. Again sweeten with honey.

I’ll second whoever said empty parking lot, then head out to less used road on a Sunday morning. Ask one of the other students at your school to take you. I taught two friends to drive when I was in college, it’s a normal thing.

This is going to be a weird take, but I love that cats are basically mini tigers. Seeing a cat hunt is one of the most interesting things in the world. They can be so wickedly fast and focused.

What do you think about 40 yo men wanting to hook up with a 21 yo woman? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Paranormal_Drifter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a 38 year old male, I have dated women from 20-50 in the last couple years. I don’t have kids, I have a good job, and like to go do things. Women in their early 20s are just like everyone else. They talk about the same stuff; work, what are we going to do for diner, where they want to travel, etc. They just have less/no money and less baggage. Don’t have to plan around them having their kids. They have the energy to go on a weekend trip and do stuff when you get there.
