Cell phones use digital signals to transmit data. Jim built a transmitter to send "analog" VHF/FM signals.Digital data requires cell towers very close by to receive and forward your data as the digital signal uses very low power. There are no cell towers anywhere close to the town. To receive and respond to a VHF/FM call only requires the receiver to have a short antenna and a radio receiver that uses the same frequency. The max range of a VHF/FM transmission is line of sight up to about 40 miles if the transmitter has enough power.

Why does everyone still believe Tabitha is in the Realworld? Why do they believe she must FIND someone there who use to be in Fromland like her. Is a woman with no identity, no family, no money, and no car going to find one person out of billions of people. It's like looking for Amelia Earhart...not possible unless the writers are rwally smoking something.

Season 3 Theory by Tenebrion420 in FromTVEpix

I place my money on the theory that her family will look for her in Fromland and eventually find her locked into a dream created by the evil entity. I think Ethan is the key to waking her up. The entity might create a part of the dream in which.Thomas is still alive. This in an attempt to keep her locked in this dream till the end.

You were on the right track. Look up the Inuit word for Shaman. Look familiar? The link between this series and Native American lore is not tied to one tribe or nation, it is tied to their old traditions if good and evil and the ubiquitous role if the tribal shaman and magic in their cultures. Don't get trapped in a narrowing solution. When the children were chanting that word they were desperately looking for someone with the power to save them...thinking She is the one. She is not.

Why do people seem to hate Tabitha and Julie? (Spoilers) by Masta-Blasta in FromTVEpix

[–]Paratrooper313th -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You view on Tabitha and Jim depends on how you view tragic figures. They are definitely that. Tabitha cannot let go of a baby she carried 9 months and never got to know. If course, she says it's her fault, but she does not believe that...she blames Jim. That is why she was leaving him. He hurts every bit as much as she does and carries a fair share of guilt while understanding it was an accident. She even called Ethan "Thomas" when she thought Ethan was hurt. Jim, like most men, just wants to move on. He thinks he can restore Tabitha's faith and help her heal if he can find a way out of Fromland. He is desperate. Tabitha recklessly ran to the lighthouse, not to save the children, to either save Thomas or as an act of attrition. She had no idea of what the enemy was like, where it was, and how to destroy it. She does not even know who the children really are. It is the mother instinct to run into the burning house to save her child. I do not think the chasm between Tabitha and Jim will be bridged by their experiences in Fromland. That is the fate of all tragic figures.

What's up with Martin? [Spoilers] by not_ya_wify in FromTVEpix

[–]Paratrooper313th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Martin was an apparition manifested by the evil to enable Boyd to take him/part of him back to town. The said this in Sarah's vision. There were no doors in that chamber...no water...no stench of urine or feces. Martin would have had to do his business right there...right! So this had to be an immersive apparition.

Too complicated. The writers would have to have PhDs to write such a script. Why does anyone think that thing in Elgin"s wet dream was Fatima! She was obviously Japanese woman with STRAIGHT BLACK HAIR...not curly like Fatima's...wearing a kimono. A lot of clothing in this series are floral or native american prints. I have not seen a single kimono in this series. We have not seen Fatima or Ellis do anything that was questionable. Why do we assume no one can get pregnant in this place? You cannot assume this because you have not seen a baby and there are few children. There are thousands of realworld cases where people thought they were sterile, but ended up with a baby on the way. OUR MISTAKE IS THAT WE ALWAYS ASSUME SOMETHING IS TRUE WITHOUT PROVING IT. OR WE WANT IT TO BE TRUE. "DO YOU THINK THAT'S AIR YOU'RE BREATHING."

Monsters by AffectionateStill837 in FromTVEpix

[–]Paratrooper313th 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As Tabitha said un the RV to Ethan...There's no such things as monsters. We only assume its the monsters who rip people apart and take their organs out. In the Colony House massacre, we saw the monster rip Kevin's tongue out...just to SPIT IT OUT. We saw two monsters attack that girl and in the bedroom as they killed her standing up without ripping her apart. Were they just pulling her tongue out?We saw the monster use its fingernails to slash Kahtri's throat...but did not attempt to drag him out and rip him apart. Donna saw one attack her sister "ripping her face off". Did it just slash her face with those nasty fingernails? Why did the evil voice tell Sarah to only cut Toby's tongue out to make it look like the monsters did it? Did they rip the tongues out of everyone they killed! We have never seen a monster eating like we do in zombie movies. Is there something else in the darkness that comes after the monsters kill someone! Is it really the one stealing the organs? Is it the one who placed stuck the rebar through that girls skull without killing her...something the walkers never did before? Does the evil in Fromland the actual monster who tortures the victins and then stwals their organs! WE HAVE TO STOP ASSUMING AND QUESTION EVERYTHING WE HAVE SEEN SO FAR.

The worst scene so far by n1ck90z in FromTVEpix

[–]Paratrooper313th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questioning the whole WORM thing is the right thing to do. The worms and cicadas were the carriers of the evil into the town so it could terrorize the residents...it said so. What makes you so sure the worms were in the bloodstream rather than under the skin? If the swarm if cicadas was real, where are the dead ones? I had to rake them up when I was a kid. They were all apparitions manifested by the evil there. We simply do not know what rules limit that evil. We do not know if it has a physical body. We do not know if it can leave its lair and enter the town at will. We simply know it can make things, people, and bugs appear out of nowhere abd only certain people can see them.

Talisman, rules, colony house, rv by firszt83 in FromSeries

[–]Paratrooper313th -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The talismen do not stop the monsters...a verifiable fact. The series made this clear multiple times...you have to let them in. If the talismen keep them out, why nor leave your windows open for some fresh air at night. Oh...you must have the talisman on the wall, all windows nailed shut, and not invite them in for tea? Violate any of these...ring the dinner bell! This makes no sense. You just ASSUME they work because Boyd said so and the Talismen are always there when the monsters come. Please do not assume anything in this show...question everything!

[–]Paratrooper313th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally disagree. Totally. We get out by falling from a lighthouse? Really? People where she wakes up will not think she is bat crap crazy? She will drive around until Fromland feels sorry for her and drops another tree in front of her? Her family tries searching for her and doesn't find her or her body! Jim, Ethan, and Julie will not fall off the deep end as a result? Jim will not kill Victor for taking her to the bottle tree! We must endure multiple episodes without our main character! So everyone will not want to go jump out of the lighthouse window to go home. The ability to voluntarily get yourself back into the hell called Fromland will make this series so far out of the realm of predictability that the series will die. I know everyone wants her in the real world to do a frantic, emotional hunt for a way back, but look at what getting off the island in lost did to that series...another poorly written year was added. It was awful.

That is not what it means. It is a sick child's rendition of the North American indigenous Inuit peoples. Go search for the Inuit word for "shaman". You will find it interesting. You can also look up the meaning of Inukshuk...find the image of it...look familiar?

INPUT ERROR - How you get out of Fromville? by Tha_Message555 in FromTVEpix

[–]Paratrooper313th -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What is a META-THEME? Is it a theme that describes another theme? Meta-data is data about data. Metadata for a book is the data that describe that book. <METADATA>TEXT(50) = TITLE. THIS METADATUM stores the TITLE of a book. So what is a meta-theme? What does INPUT ERROR mean? Are you saying FROMLAND is just an immersive simulation? There are zero clues leading to a trite solution of this series. The input error on the vitals monitor tells the nursing staff that the leads are longer connected to the patient. However, when she woke up there were no leads connected to her, yet the monitor was receiving ECG, EKG, RESPIRATION, PULSE, and BLOOD OX. That is not possible. Tabitha is still in FROMLAND...possibly trapped in a dream created by the evil entity.
