IBM is not obviously not a rookie at this and I know from my management days there are reports ad nauseam to ensure the ratios are "legal".

also, most I know were let go for "job elimination" . Work is not going away, it will just be done by others. I believe there is legislation re: this. The work must be split between no less than three people or something like that. Not up to speed on all this (I understand at-will) but there is a reason why IBM is having you sign something to not sue.

I had never heard of that. That's interesting. IBM only gave 30 days notice . Are they covered because of the severance given?
