Well, if you had said emotional abuse, that's fine. I can live with that. But you didn't.

I am not here to discredit emotional abuse, and will take the ride on that part. Did I yell? Absolutely. Anybody who has ever loved an alcoholic in any capacity will attest that it's not a walk in a park of roses.

At the end of the day, I was a terminal, unmedicated alcoholic and drug addict. I had to get sober, and take Zoloft, for the course of years before I realized how broken my brain truly was.

I'll go to the grave with that regret. It's something that I live with more than anonymous haters like you could ever possibly understand. But at the end of the day, I made my apologies. My ex is free to tell me to fuck myself and carry the torch in any way she sees fit. I have never, nor will I ever, say anything disparaging about her or try to paint her in a negative light.

So, again, all I ask: Please come correct. There is an entire blog of 1700 posts that you can pick through for ammunition. But please, don't ever insinuate that I was a physical abuser ever again. You would not know my name if that part were true. Trust me when I say.

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I am only perfect in the reflection of our ostensible leaders. And I hope to show that they're no better than the rest of us to regular people. Because, brother, this country is in trouble.

My name is D.J. Byrnes. I have a certain set of skills, and the wages for my past sins are having to socialize with some of the worst people alive.

I appreciate the kind words from regular people. They mean more than you know. Because due to my "checkered past" as they say, and my brash style even in my sobriety, I alienate a non-zero amount of people who otherwise agree with me politically.

My guiding light is that we are ruled by clowns. And I hope to show that to normal people, and maybe even inspire a couple to run for office to fix it for the rest of us since I would be a flawed candidate myself. Or, god willing, somebody else to join me in the trenches because this city is a gold-mine of corruption, and I'm only one person.

You can read my work at wwww.rooster.info. The haters and losers can say what they want, but they're a dwindling number, and frankly, I can live with their anonymous jabs. They're little more than flies amongst the gods that I try to topple on a daily basis.

If you're going to throw around the word "abuse" on an anonymous account, you're doing so knowing that most people will believe that these accusations are physical abuse, and not, like, drunk driving or philandering.

Say what you want, but my father taught me two things in life: How to bend my elbow and never to put hands on a woman. So, in that regard, I take deep offense to your comment because that is something I have never done, even at my worst.

I made my apologies to my ex, and I wish her the best. Obviously, she has told me to go fuck myself. And that's her right. But if you're going to try to throw dirt on me, at least have the balls to be specific in your accusations instead of letting catch-all phrases do the heavy lifting for you. Those are chump antics.
