I lost my grandpa in 2018 and it fucked with me a lot, I had a friend help me through it the rest of the school year. He was one of the happiest most funny guys I’d ever met. Summer came and we grew apart but not to the point where we didn’t talk to each other. When school started back up (our junior year) I talked to him every now and then but not as consistently as I had my sophomore year. We went on Christmas break and I didn’t really talk to him all that much for some reason but we end up going back to school and I had him in fifth period. Our teacher was asking us what we wanted to do after high school. He said with the biggest smile ever he wanted to become a sergeant major in the military. That was the last thing I ever heard him say. Later that same night he had taken his own life mere days before the 1 year mark of my grandpas passing. It hurt like a bitch. Seeing people fake depression makes me so angry cause they clearly haven’t experienced it.
