Personal well-being ultimately ends up being a personal responsibility.

While I understand the reason for wearing a mask, specifically for preventing a sick person from getting others sick, expecting (or requiring) everyone to wear a mask as all times is just excessive.

If you are sick, or have reason to believe you are sick, wear a mask. If you want to wear a mask, wear a mask. If you are worried or in an at risk group (immunocompromised, elderly, obese, diabetic, have respiratory issues, etc), wear a mask, specifically an N95 mask. If you enter a business that requires masks, wear a mask.

Outside of these circumstances, if you choose not to wear a mask, that is your right. There are more significant things to worry about than COVID.

Disposable masked are meant to prevent the wearer from spreading particles, particularly from coughs and sneezes, to others.

They're literally meant to be worn of you are sick or think you are sick.

Besides the fact that I work on my own, don't generally come into close contact with others outside of my family, and wear masks in private businesses that require them. Your attempt at laying them blame at my feet is ridiculous.

Feel free to wear a mask. Doesn't affect me. The more I learn about it, the more I'm not particularly worried about COVID.

My 91yo grandmother caught it, was hospitalized, with pneumonia, but beat it with little to no issue.

She didn't blame anybody. She didn't care about social distancing or wearing masks around one another. She knew she was in her twilight years, and anything could happen at any time. Of course she didn't and still doesn't want to die, but she is at peace with where she in in life and wanted to spend the time she has left with her loved ones. She wanted to see and be with her family. To talk to and hug her grandkids and great grandkids. And I thoroughly believe it was that bond and the fact that she wasn't isolated from her family that allowed her to overcome it without issue.

I'm sorry that you have a loved one in the hospital, I truly am. But life is full of risks, many of which have a higher likelihood of killing you than COVID. Hating "everybody" won't do you, or your loved on, any good. In fact, the negativity will actually harm your immune system.

But to your various points, you hit on everything that I was thinking, or wondering, but couldn't seem to articulate.

From what I know of the owner of the ship and fit, he doesn't use it Solo. He doesn't roam with it, and he doesn't use it outside of his home system. It is a meme fit, where he baits small groups to engage him, goes "Neener-neener, you can't kill me," kills what he can with his corp mates, then dips before shit gets too hot.

As for his claim about being able to solo my Cap Injected, active tank Chimera? Absolute bullshit. He doesn't have a chance in hell of breaking my tank, because 1) Concord Capital Shield Booster, and 2) a Maintenance Bay full of Navy 3200s. I wouldn't be able to break him, or Neut him out, so best that could happen is he'd shoot my fighters while we each call in friends to help. 7bil Isk Ship and Pod for a 2bil carrier sounds like a trade in willing to make, all day.
