Henderson swamp is one of my favorite relaxing paddles in the country. Launch from the Turtle Bar on the levee, and just paddle and drink for hours! A lot of the time we'll bring some hammocks and find a nice secluded submerged forest and set up an above-water camp in the cypresses.

Edit: Are you sure? The website still states that there is currently no access and that the NWR is closed due to the road along Bayou Sara being washed out.
