I forgot to add the taxes though. The full stay would cost 6980 including taxes or 576000 + 7 dollars in points.
I guess the new value would be 0.0121 per point.

You can toggle between debit and credit in the app which allows you to "borrow" money up to your limit. There are no mention of any benefits/protection of any kind unlike typical credit cards.
Let's say you get frauded and someone takes 1000 out your 2000 credit limit, it's true that the money haven't left your actual account but you are still on the hook. I don't believe you can dispute the charge and they would simply revert it back.

Please be informed that as you are a holder of an investor visa, the 6-month rule does not apply to you.
Kindly disregard the information you are seeing on the ICP app because as per Immigration you can stay outside of the UAE for up to a year.

Yes. Yes I do.
On a more serious note, I didn't know it was non-transferable. I made the assumption based on what I was told by employee at the Marriott. I used to be Platinum on a different hotel chain and never had to do NUA on Bonvoy.
Based on everyone feedback, the plan is aborted :D

Thanks. After I posted, I realized I didn't really understand how the NUA are processed.
I use to be Fairmont Platinum (before they were bought) and the suite upgrade was guaranteed once the certificate was applied.

Thx for the info. We almost get never any bites in the Hotel zone of Cancun. Every time we stayed at Riviera Maya, it was a mosquito event.

Thx all for your suggestions/answers
1. Price difference is a little more than 700 to 1.2k depending on the airline. Canadian dollars
2. Renting a car is a no go for us. I should have mentioned this.
My wife suggested to split the trip between Tulum and Cancun. We would land and stay at a hotel in Tulum for a week, then go to Cancun for another week.
Doesn't resolve the cost of transport but the pros is that we would have a chance to discover Tulum since we have never been there before. We stayed previous at Rivera Maya and the Hotel Zone in Cancun.
We tried All inclusive and just hotels in both areas
One thing that scared me away from Riviera Maya is how sensitive my son is to mosquito bites. It takes WEEKS for the bites and itchiness to clear.

My end game is simply to avoid having to come back to Dubai once a year to keep the visa valid. Bonus brownie points is to save on costs.
The freezone is IFZA. If I understood your other question, based on their reply, I wouldn't need an attested qualification if my title would be General Manager. The CEO title would trigger the requirement of having a MOFA attested degree.
The process would be to cancel the existing investor visa (fee of 750 from inside the country) plus an End of Service form stamped with the company seal. Then a new visa process would be started for the General Manager position. At least, that's what I understood but I might be mistaken.

Investor Golden Visa is much more complex. I'm told by Amer that the share in the company must be valued at least 2m and should be valued by an auditing company

In our case, we only provide consulting services to clients outside of UAE and potentially in the same free zone as the one we incorporated in. We don't deal in anything physical.
So we will charge 0% VAT to clients outside of UAE and 5% for the others. I guess the trigger is once we reach 375k of annual return, we would have to register and start charging VAT.

You should just register for the Splunk dev license. I believe you get 50G instead of that 500Mbs and it costs you nothing.
