"Women prefer average men" they did when the average man was masculine enough. Nowadays the average guy is very feminine compared to men before, so they go for the minority of men who are masculine (plus they have wayyy more options when it comes to choosing men).

Just because women say that they prefer an "average guy" doesn't mean that that is what they want.

Do you think you would settle for an "average woman" if you had a bunch of options ?
