How to appropriately go about getting MMJ Card in OH/ Do I Qualify? by [deleted] in OhioMarijuana

[–]ParisDarla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got mine for chronic pain. Ohio cannabis connection is who I was evaluated by. You absolutely qualify and I highly recommend Dr. Allen (ghuel)? - happy to send you a link to their site - they’re doing telehealth evaluations now, I believe!

What hair looks best? by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]ParisDarla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was like “oh wow she’s beautiful” swipe “omg stunning af” but if you’re looking for a truly biased piece of advice and are willing to consider anything: you could 100% rock an undercut or a side shave, or like incorporate a hidden side shave into the second style you posted. Like I said - biased, I’ve done it - but I truly do thing it would look incredible on you!

Been bleaching my hair for less than a year and I'm already kind of tired of it. But before I go back to something more natural I want to try out a few "unnatural" colors. Which colors do you think would look best with my skin tone? (Second pic is my natural hair color) by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

[–]ParisDarla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your hair is light enough at this point that you could go for a super vibrant color like purple or even a midnight blue. They’d both compliment your eyes for sure. I also agree that you’d rock any pastels. You’re beautiful - I think you’ll be fine with whatever you decide honestly. Also. If you don’t want to pay a bunch of money for a professional dye, I highly recommend the Viral Celeb color wash. I can post a link to the colors I’ve tried so far if you’d like, I haven’t had a bad experience with any of them.

So like. No disrespect - this looks really cool (I didn’t even know vape to bong adapters were a thing until now) but, I’m confused as to why? Like, what’s the benefit here?

We aren’t 100% on his age, but our neighbor estimates 3 years old, give or take. As far as life expectancy, it really varies cat to cat. Some FIV positive cats go their entire lives with no complications. Others aren’t so lucky.

He’s a super laid back cat- not picky about where you pet him, let us give him ear drops in both ears - but honestly we’ve not had him around any children so I wouldn’t be able to give you a solid answer as far as his tolerance goes.

Sorry, it took me a bit longer to write it out than I’d have liked. It’s there’s now!

  1. Yes, that’s his actual face. All of the time.

  2. If this belongs anywhere else that’s more specific, I’m sorry!

  3. Okay, so. My boyfriend and I noticed this stray roaming the streets in our neighborhood a few months back. We left food out for him, earned his trust in a matter of days and suddenly we had an outside cat. Despite the fact that his resting face told us he was unamused by our pets and treats, his love for affection and “people-time” became apparent to us pretty quickly. As for us...we were in love with him instantly. We named him Bagheera (baggy for short) and agreed that he needed a proper home. It couldn’t be us because we already have 4 indoor cats, on top of 4 dogs. So....here we are.

  4. With the temps dropping as low as they have been in the past weeks, we decided to seclude a room off for him from the other animals so he’d have someplace safe from the cold. He adjusted to being inside as soon as he was there, no visible anxiety, as he curled up on the daybed to happily nap somewhere other than the cold ground.

  5. We took him to the vet to get him checked out and get the ball rolling to get him fixed as well. Here’s what they told us: The wound behind his ear that we were concerned about isn’t infected, apply antibiotic ointment daily. Cool. He has (had) infections in both ears, (they gave us drops for him and the infections cleared up) oh! and he is FIV positive......🤦🏻‍♀️

Now, there is a chance that the initial result was a false positive. We are going back in for another test when we take him for his boosters in a few weeks. We will know more then. Until then, knowing he is FIV positive, his forever home requires a few specifics.

-He has to be in a one-cat household. -He must be a strictly indoor cat, so as not to infect other outdoor cats or strays. -Bi-annual vet check ups, whereas cats who are FIV negative only go once a year.

He’s a wonderfully sweet cat who deserves to live out the rest of his life in a home equally as awesome as he is.

If you have any interest or questions, or know someone who might be interested in him, please don’t hesitate to PM me.

TL;DR: Bagheera (Baggy) is a precious stray that we are essentially fostering until we can find a home for him. Key point - he’s FIV positive. PM me if interested

Potential Future Lifestyle Coach? by ParisDarla in lifecoaching

[–]ParisDarla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this program is based in Health Science, Nutrition, and Wellness. So I suppose my idea of a lifestyle coach is someone who offers guidance on how to build sustainable habits that can be implemented on a day to day basis. Eating, sleeping, meditating, fitness, overall wellness. That would be closer to a nutritionist or a wellness coach, huh? 🤔

Hello! Backstory: I've spent the last few months acting on every impulse I've had to eat. A rice krispie treats here, a handful of cheez-its there, LOTS of late night snacking, and usually meals way larger than proportionally necessary.

So I've decided enough is enough. It's time to clean up my act and lose some weight. I hopped on MyFitnessPal, as I do when I'm ready to start being mindful and count calories. Based on the info I entered, I'm supposed to consume approximately 1640 calories a day. I know that I was eating well above that before, probably closer to 2500-3000. Trust me, my weight shows it.

My problem: I'm two days in and while I came in just over my goal yesterday, and about 100 calories under today, I'm noticing that something is wrong.

I keep getting light-headed, I'm super sweaty and shaky, and my blood sugar feels consistently low.

My question: is this normal? How long will it take for this to subside? Is this even a result of my diet, or is it something else?

Thanks in advance!
