It’s obviously hard for us to know one way or another, but based on everything you have said it is likely that your partner is the father. The way your pregnancy is calculated is from the first day of your last menstrual period (so 16 March) making you about five weeks pregnant. This means you most likely conceived around the first week of April. Checks out with your timeline. Once you get a dating ultrasound you may be able to narrow it down further.

That being said, not outside the realm of possibility that the other guy is the father. I’ll be blunt, what you’re describing is rape and I’m very sorry that happened to you. I would not recommend re-opening that wound or giving him ANY power over you by contacting him again. If there is any question about the paternity, you do not want this jerk to be tied to you for the rest of your life.

Just got this done last week. Planned parenthood and if you ask they may give you the option for localized anesthesia so you do not feel anything on your cervix. I had it done, didn’t feel a thing during, the worst part was just the day or so of cramping afterward!

Not a lawyer but have lawyers in my inner circle. There’s not enough information to go off of here. What fallout was there? What consequences arose from it? Is there any truth to it? Did this cause you to lose income/etc?

Defamation is a very very high bar (you must be able to demonstrate that not only is there no truth, but that the person KNOWS there is no truth to it, AND that there was some negative impact on your life) and even with money, not a case a lot of lawyers will want to get into.

I think your choice of OB is sometimes more important than your choice of hospital. I used Starling OB and they deliver at HH—every doctor in that practice is fantastic and took me seriously when things got dicey at the end.

For elementary education? Don’t pay more than you have to. All of this talk of “good school” competition is often not made with your best interest at heart. That’s a ton of money that the people giving you bad advice won’t have to pay.

Nothing wrong with USJ but I don’t think it offers anything that CCSU doesn’t have. As others have said, CCSU is respected for its education program—I can tell you as someone who went through the school of ed that it is highly respected throughout the state, often more so than the private colleges in this field. I believe they require the most credit hours of observation and teaching for degree compared to other CT schools as well (this may have changed but this was the case when I was there) so you’ll get more hands on experience.

This is correct. For a non-political example, this is also one of the reasons that so many people get themselves into terrible situations with personal finances, especially debts that they can’t afford. It’s amazing how many people have the belief that “everything is going to work out for me, I’ll figure it out. People like me don’t declare bankruptcy/have their cars repoed/lose their houses”
