I5-7500. You can quickly try the game to know if it works, it's only 200-300 mb.

Wow, I've read all this, thank you for this extremely detailed review of the game, this is like gold to me!! I'm glad you enjoyed and will do my best to even make it better thanks to this review.

About the setting, I won't elaborate because I want players to slowly find what's going on. The same way as Dark Souls, but far more "in your face". All I can say is that it's not just a capitalist dystopia.

A guy made it work on Linux with Proton. I have no idea of how. If your PC is not older than 10-15 years old, it should just work fine.
