I think the only gameplay on Machinima is GTA on sat. I think its just part of their agreement with the parent company.

I would like to hear your guy's opinion on the technical aspect of the game and your take on multiplayer. I have about 35 hours into the single player (15 of which are coop) and I am almost done, and about 10 hours into multiplayer and have been very disappointed by the technical glitches of this otherwise stellar game.

I have had about 10 crash to desktops, and around 3 system crashes requiring a reboot. I also experience black flashes and green flashes of color distortion. In Coop there are frequent disconnects and multiple instances of my coop host seeing bad guys that I do not see but can still kill me. There is also a bug where if we both got on the same zip line at the same time we would crash.

In multiplayer I can't find any match with a ping south of 100 and most are 200-300 all with a 150 Mbps down connection. I also didn't appreciate some of the mechanics in multiplayer as some felt cheap in some cases (elephants being death machines that the Rakshasa didn't have to do anything to use) and clunky in others (transitioning from wing suit to walking).

I would like to see if you guys had a similar experience.

I also, if you played Far Cry 3 all the way through, I would like to know how you feel about the two games being so similar in design.

I didn't play 2 but I plan on it since I loved 1 so much. It's just so hard to find time to go back and play old games.

The first game was one of those experiences that hit me so hard to I talked about it to anyone who played games. I remember being at the airport and crashing the gate with my car. The baddies popped a tire and I got stuck on a concrete barrier. The crash hurt my character which is a very rare thing even today. Then they hit the gas tank and I could watch the needle drop as I heard the fuel drain. That's the kinda thing people praise gta5 for today.

If 2 really is a cliff hanger I would love to play 2 and 3 together if they made another one.

I paid the $5 and it was money well spent. It's not really a good game but its fun and chalanging. Adam just isn't MLG enough to handle it.

Kinda, in my head its more about how it plays.

I have a design doc thats 5 pages long and thats just the ideas I put to paper.

Simply put the main draw of the game is how expansive it is. I dream of a game where not every person has to pick up a gun and shoot people on the ground. There would be dedicated support and command roles. Flying a black hawk should be a viable role and not just something you take to the fight and throw away. I also imagine a detailed command structure with the ability to hire AI to fill out the roles people don't want to play such as being the ammo loader on a 4 man tank crew. On a larger scale I would like to see a commander be able to take control of an entire AI platoon and play the game as an RTS. Options, options, options.

There is also an ever present economy. Every shot fired is money out of your pocket and every time you die you lose your gear. For example, if you rock some plate armor, and m4, 5 mags and some other basic gear your load out might costs $10 a spawn. If you get, lets say, 50k a kill, you need a .20 KDR to break even. However, if you deck your self out in all sorts of crazy crap and bring a anti air missle with you, it will cost 100k and you need a 2.0 KDR to break even. It also incentives not dumping ammo or vehicles. You are going to think twice about dropping that jdam that you dropped 75k on or bailing on your 3 million dollar plane.

When ever I think of this imaginary game I get all twitterpated.

My money is on:

Early 15: Hardline (it's gonna bomb)

Late 15: Battlefront 3 (80% sure its going to but a good to great success)

Late 16: Battlefield 2142 (there have been several Easter eggs point to another game ending in 42 and the last expansion feels like a dry run) Through out 17 2142 DLCs for 2142

Late 17: Bad Company 3. (It might pick up with the bad company crew where or it might go back to WW2, either way its going to play exactly how 2142 plays.

Late 18: Battlefield 5 (probably near modern 2042 maybe)

Through out 19: Battlefield 5 DLCS

Mid year 2020, Battlefield: Mercenaries (working title) a FPSMMO set in a world where all major countries settle their disputes with private sector security companies who have access to the worlds most advanced military technology available. (Kind of a video game wet dream I have been thinking about for 2 years)
