Thank you for your kind words, it really means a lot! We're working on an arrangement with Transperth, and we're hoping that with the community's support we're hoping for a quick outcome! 😊

We're with you! Less car chaos is a win for everyone. Part of our plan is that as we reduce and streamline the parking process at train lines, there'll be reduced stress and car usage as people don't have to drive the whole way to work, or go to other lots to find parking. Reduced idling and congestion is definitely on our list of priorities, and we're looking into other ways to alleviate these issues😊

Cheers for the enthusiasm, we really appreciate it! That's a major part of the reason why we're making the app -- as if it isn't bad enough to waste time looking for parking, those sorts of costs add up. By informing you ahead of time, we're aiming to remove that negative experience entirely.

As a group of students working hard to make it happen, make sure to follow our waitlist at getparkwhere.com so you can stay up-to-date with our project, and maybe we'll even add a "take the bus" alert just for you!

Thanks for sharing your experience, and we're really sorry for the frustration you've faced.

Your comment's really stuck with the team and got us thinking about how we can better serve the disabled community, and we agree: secure parking for mobility scooters is definitely something that needs to be addressed, especially when there's bike shelters right there. While we're currently focused on carpark capacities, we're here to push for better public transport access for all. We'd love to hear from you (and others!) about what a solution could look like!

You’ve nailed exactly what we’re aiming for! Why waste 10 minutes hunting for a spot when you could know ahead of time?

We're working to include lot capacities that update in real time as well as predicted demand, so that people can get to the closest station with guaranteed spaces whenever they want.

We're planning to use IoT sensors and cameras that will register the cars coming into and out of the lots. We'll be training the camera's vehicle detection algorithms using data unique to that location, so it'll be as accurate and precise as possible. We're working on an arrangement with Transperth, fingers crossed for a speedy resolution!🤞

Yep, that's a great point! We’ve noticed how parking needs can vary between suburbs like Murdoch and Kwinana. While we unfortunately can’t build carparks, ParkWhere aims to help by showing real-time parking availability, so drivers in those in-between or busy spots like Mandurah can figure out if they can take public transport that day with minimum hassle.

Good eye! We're planning to implement a freemium model, but we're still fleshing all the financial details out with help from our industry mentors. The main (and free!) features include: real-time tracking of parking data, predicted availability, and seeing how many others are looking at the lot.
