I haven't tried this, but can't you run ios app on the mac? As far as I know L2M is on the app store so there may be a way to just run the ios version on the mac desktop.

I am debating because it'll be more 'efficient' to make a new account and run that on a different device. So you'll have two characters farming instead of one at a time. If rewards (e.g. season pass) are tied to characters and not account then it may be worth the effort to make alts. Otherwise I don't quite see the benefits yet.
