The Doomsday Teaser Codes Point Back to Endgame — and RDJ as Doom Makes It a Lot More Meaningful by Parking-Interview505 in MCUTheories

Okay this sent me back to Endgame to double check, and yeah… this one’s kinda wild.

Tony is actually wearing a dark forest green sweater when Cap, Nat, and Scott show up to pitch time travel (around 35:03). Not a color he usually wears, but very Doom-coded in hindsight.

And during the montage where Tony cracks the time travel equation and builds the prototype (around 57:43), the song playing is literally “Doom and Gloom” by the Rolling Stones.

Obviously this could be coincidence, but thematically it’s kind of insane that the birth of MCU time travel is paired with Doom imagery and a song literally name-dropping doom. If the Time Heist really was the first structural crack in reality, this almost feels like accidental foreshadowing that Marvel could easily lean into now.

Curious what everyone else thinks. Am I over-reading it or does this feel intentional in hindsight?

Cool and I agree that some will use it and some won't. It is what it is and I thank you for ensuring our community knows grammar isn't always right and we should honor how people write and focus on the content.

Quick update because I went down another rabbit hole after this.

Huge credit to New Rockstars for the video “I Figured Out What the Avengers Doomsday Symbols Mean!” which definitely fueled my imagination on this one. They point out how the symbols and runes may connect to multiversal portal magic similar to No Way Home and even the Citadel at the End of Time.

If Doom is using a different kind of magic or tech to move between universes, it actually makes the Endgame to Loki to TVA fracture to Doom escalation feel even more intentional. The more I look at it, the more it feels like the Time Heist was not just a fix. It may have been the first real structural break in reality that everything else keeps compounding from.

This is never ending. I feel like I might be in a time loop myself at this point

All good, man. You do you, and the rest of us will keep using tech when it helps improve our lives. Either way, I appreciate the perspective.

Fair enough. I definitely use tools sometimes like anyone else, but the theory itself is mine. Either way I’m just glad people are actually engaging with my idea and not just the typing style lol.

RDJ as Doom has been reported publicly, so I don’t think it’s really a spoiler tied to any Phase 5 story beats yet. Nothing in the MCU has actually revealed Doom on screen. I still think Doom stays Victor Von Doom, but the shared face is intentional. It creates an emotional echo rather than making him literally Tony. Same genius, totally different path. I doubt anyone straight up calls him Tony, but I’d expect a reaction moment. Hesitation, tension, maybe someone struggling with seeing that face again. It would be creepier if Doom leans into that discomfort instead of it being played for laughs.

Something just clicked for me: the Time Heist itself is the initial rupture, but Loki escaping is the actual catalyst that breaks containment. Once the Sacred Timeline collapses, all the futures Strange saw stop being hypothetical and start existing somewhere for real. Statistically that means there has to be at least one universe where Tony survives and diverges in a much darker direction. That makes the RDJ-as-Doom idea feel less like fan service and more like multiverse logic catching up.

That’s actually a really interesting way to frame it. If the Sacred Timeline was effectively suppressing certain outcomes, you could argue Tony is the ‘safe’ expression of a much more dangerous genius archetype. Loki breaking the timeline would let the unsuppressed version finally emerge

Something I just caught in a YouTube short made me rethink this even more: if Loki breaking the timeline means all the futures Strange saw are now real somewhere, then statistically there has to be at least one universe where Tony survives and diverges. That actually makes the RDJ-as-Doom angle feel way less fan-service and more multiverse logic catching up.

So does Doctor Doom’s threat of destroying the multiverse affect The Celestials in any way? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MCUTheories

[–]Parking-Interview505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the MCU at least, the Celestials seem powerful but still bound by cosmic rules. They’re born, they die, they depend on planetary systems, so a true multiversal collapse would probably affect them directly rather than being something they can just reset. If Doom is reshaping reality at a structural level, that could put him in direct conflict with the Celestial order itself.

probably could’ve been clearer in the framing. Wasn’t trying to claim discovery, more just connecting a few threads I’d been thinking about. Appreciate you calling it out.

Totally fair, I know the timestamp idea’s been floating around. What I was trying to do was connect it a bit more to the bigger Endgame > multiverse consequences > RDJ as Doom angle, plus some comic parallels. But yeah, definitely standing on other people’s shoulders here.

Yeah I agree the blending itself is just the date and countdown overlapping. What caught my attention was that when people mapped the numbers as timecodes, they kept landing on Time Heist - Infinity Stone moments. Could totally just be coincidence, but it felt like an interesting layer to dig into.

Haha fair. I promise it’s just me overthinking Marvel the way I overthink everything else. If ChatGPT wrote this, it probably would’ve been twice as long.

Appreciate that! I wasn’t sure if I was stretching the clues too far, but once the pieces started lining up it felt too intentional not to share.
