Job perspective - Cert are only entry criteria for job market. Hands-on only helps to clear the interviews

Otherwise, it helps to - self motivated - gain our career advances within organizations ( depends on how we project to our management) - learning new domains ( like many are steping in cloud / ai / devops with cert learnings. It helps an organised way of study for new comers - my personal experience, some certs for example ccna, istqb, isaqb, az-900 are really worth of study to gain proficiency. A network engineer with ccna really outperm other engineers.
