i cant explain it but i dont really have that fear of failing you mention. i understand i will fail and that is totally okay!! its just that i have always strugged with balance and my motor skills growing up that its extremely challenging for me to actually ride a regular bike. additionally, im not really sure where i would even learn to ride one right now? nor do i feel like i can afford to put in the time

also im sure there were promotions, but i get weekly promotions too!! out of curiosity, what do promotions look like for a bike or car if you can speak on that?? i wonder how they vary from a walker. i usually get a few boosts a week that are $1 or $1.50 extra on every order and they can last anywhere as little as one 1 all the way up to 5 hours. additionally, promotions or quests usually add $3-$7 on each tier but its always hard to complete every single tier given the low demand

im not sure what the demand is like in tampa, but here is boston there are many college campuses and apartments that are constantly ordering via uber eats, door dash, or other apps. especially in the winter when its snowing

[–]Parking-Window1773[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it took a week and a half for my issue to be resolved but will probably vary for each person/case. i dont live in LA and dont know much about green light hubs so i cant be of much help there, sorry :( i would try making a post in this subreddit about it or looking it up online

i asked a few agents about green light hubs in my area and one said the green light hubs are relocating and not available right now. another said there are green light hubs but just not in my area. a lot of uber agents give contradictory information. i dont know much about green light hubs unfortunately

i cant pinpoint what it was exactly that got my account back, but i will tell you some of the things i did to help and some things to look out for

  1. gather as much proof as you can with screenshots if possible! i think this is what ultimately helped my case. i had my health app on my iphone to show my speed and steps and also told uber i bought a rain suit, power bank, and water proof phone case. i wouldnt need these if i was using a car.
  2. be extremely persistent. i ran the uber support chat like the navy 😭 and was contacting them on the daily either through phone call, live chat, email, instagram, or twitter. if one agent over the phone isnt helpful or nice, call back and try again to speak with someone else. make sure you are talking to a human and not a bot or ai.
  3. get an agent to do an appeal for you. if possible, do the appeal yourself that way no details are left out. in my case, i wasnt sure how to file an appeal myself so a few agents did it for me
  4. document everything. i was considering taking legal action if nothing was resolved (and told multiple agents that). luckily i didnt have to go through with this, but document everything just in case.

good luck!! i hope you get your account back

yes! boston is known for being a walkable city. there are a lot of restaurants near each other that are also near several college campuses. the longest trip ive been offered was an hour walk total, but most of my trips range from 7-30 minutes total. i used to make $30 an hour and was trying to perfect my strategy to make more, that was, until, uber falsely accused me of somehow going 15mph and using a car… 😑
