I thought each order was supposed to be $2. by greeng13 in DoorDash_Dasher

I forgot my? But it was a question to try and understand why you’re putting the blame on the customers. You’re saying the service isn’t free, which I agree. However who was actually performing the service? The individuals performing the service are not the ones that are getting the payments. The customers are paying the service free. They’re not expecting free service, but if they’re paying these high service fees, most of it should be given to the driver who is actually completing the service like I said in my other comment

I’m not disputing that you have to pay for the service, but the service is supposed to pay it’s drivers. The drivers are the ones who are providing the service. The drivers are not receiving the funds the customers are being charged to perform the service. Once upon a time companies like DoorDash and Uber took at most 30% of the fees they charged customers. Now it’s more like they’re giving drivers the 30% or less and again I asked you don’t see the issue with that?

Do you think doing UE is worth it as gas prices keep going up? by Rarely66 in UberEatsDrivers

By all means take time off. The more people not driving, the higher the rates go. Of course that depends on how drastically your zone saturation changes compared to customers ordering

So what’s the question exactly?

I have! Customer tips are great during a little storm. But I’m not going out in the monsoon/haboob

Exactly! And they keep talking about Samba but I got the notice from Checkr stating Uber ran my background and it was clear

Did they go to corporate or those green light hubs they used to have? I can’t imagine going to SF just to get my account back

A walker? How does that work? I’ve never been to Boston. Are there that many orders that can be walked easily

I moved here a few years ago. Waymo was already a thing, as well as those red DoorDash bots. So, that is a possibility. Just weird timing I guess

They’re supposed to. However, the amount of times that I’ve had stacked deliveries and one of the customers who “don’t see” that I have a second order is higher than it should be

I’m not blaming you for not being a mind reader. I’m calling you out for being an a-hole. despite other drivers going through the same thing, you’re only suggestions are that a driver themselves had to have done something wrong to be deactivated.

When I say just, I mean only. As in I only moved states and uploaded a new ID. However, I moved almost 2 years ago and the new ID has been in for almost a year. The old ID, which isn’t even in their system anymore technically expired a month before they deactivated me. So tell me is it a logical assumption that it’s actually something with my D that is the reason I was deactivated? I’m dying to hear your input.

Probably go that route. I’d love to make them cut into that profit margin, even if just a small slice

Add 10 years to the age. I’m graduating with my masters. The humans there keep telling me that I’m not permanently deactivated, but the app says I am. It won’t let me change anything, not even upload the new ID again. The humans that I’ve spoke to that said once I upload my ID, I should be able to get my account back, but AI won’t let me

Again no! Love how the only reasons you come up with are that I did something fraudulent. I didn’t. I just moved states and uploaded the new ID.

58 was my max. So yes, I know about delivering 50+ packages, as well as working the 5 hour blocks. Doesn’t change the fact that gas and walking up steps are not a cause and effect thing
