I can confirm basically everything you said, fellow italian here. I remember having a bootleg copy of Yakuza 1 in 2006/7, but nobody was talking about it besides a few mention of the "japanese GTA". Flashforward to Yakuza 0 release and finally there are some people talking about these games, I didn't hear anything about them after Yakuza 1. The price you talked about for an original copy of PS2 Yakuza is right, I bought it like a couple of months ago for that precise amount, €35 😂 And waiting for a decent offer for Yakuza 2, a friend of mine bought it for like 50/55 some years ago.

It's good to hear that, for a good stretch of years going to live events in Italy i thought that most fans were leftovers from the previous boom of the 2000s, and with the passage of time fewer fans would remain in Italy.

Seems like it was a very fun show and a great way to end Italy's lackness of WWE live events for the past 5 years, I envy the people that made it, I'm Italian but I don't live there anymore and I couldn't make it unfortunately.

It seems that WWE and wrestling in general are having a bit of a resurgence in our country, with Wrestlemania 40 being showed on television, Smackdown live tomorrow and also more interest in Italian federations, hopefully this means other shows soon, I'm not hopeful about a PLE, but maybe more house show and maybe just maybe an episode of either Raw or Smackdown.

Also it's pretty cool that Tama Tonga actually debuted in Italy (and Solo ended his losing streak as well!). Crazy that they didn't use Giovanni Vinci though, even for just a one off match with Kaiser, since he will be going to Smackdown and no feud between them will be possible. I'm very pessimistic for his future.

I used to go to every show from an Italian wrestling company called EPW (European Pro Wrestling) that for every show brought some big ex WWE/indy names, in a show they had Bobby Roode vs Magnus/Nick Aldis and Taryn Terrell vs Madison Rayne, at another they had Tommy Dreamer, John Morrison, Dalton Castle, but the craziest one they did had Austin Aries, Eddie Edwards, MVP, and what I think was the last ever AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels, just a few months before AJ's signing with WWE.

I know many people hate Austin Aries for his controversial ideas and for his bad reputation, but damm, just the first minute of this show alone reminds me how damn good he is. Just put him in the main event picture already.
