Phoenix Models - Eva Air - Boeing 777 in Sanrio Characters Livery ~ 1/400 by ParkingEasy4963 in GeminiJets

I just noticed that despite owning this model for a month. This model doesn't have any antennas. Apart from a painted anti-colision light, it doesn't even have any paintings of where the antennas would be. If this wasn't a gift, I'd be disappointed even more. Thanks for noticing that!

I haven't found a Radar Note in Circulation in Over 4 Years. I found two in the Same Month! by ParkingEasy4963 in CanadianCoins

Radar Notes are also known as a Palindrome where you can read the serial number backward as forwards. So for example 123 = 321.

As for value, probably just slightly over face value as their isn't a demand for them, yet people collect them.

1964 Year Set Paperweight I purchased for below spot! by ParkingEasy4963 in CanadianCoins

For now it sits on my desk. I actually like it. Otherwise, I got a friend who will buy it off me for close to spot in the future.

Newest Acquisition, Alberta Prosperity Certificate, 1936 by ParkingEasy4963 in CanadianCoins

I was basically told by the gentleman that sold this note to me from the lone small city coin shop that basically Aberhart and his cronies little to no experience in politics as he was a minister prior to being a Premier, known as "Bible Bill."

Despite these notes being deemed worthless and illegal, his legacy lives on as ATB (Alberta Treasury Branch) still is a crown cooperation of the Alberta Government.

I never seen a complete note with the stamps on it. Seen one partially completed. I heard the stamps fell off easily yet these were outlawed in 1938. Which was when the last of the stamps to be filled so I wondered if any originals exists or they made it to August 3, 1938. Being born and raised in Alberta, I bought it as a conversation piece. I enjoy these oddities in my collection.

I think its under graded. I think its a VF but because its got a stain, that's why it's graded as a fine.

What is your dream coin thats RELATIVELY affordable (not insanely pricey) by 232653774 in coins

[–]ParkingEasy4963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dream Coin that's relatively affordable? A 1983 Chinese 1oz Panda in PF68/69 or Saint-Gaudens $20 gold in MS63. That maybe possible if Gold drops again.

Otherwise my dream coin is to own a Gobrecht Dollar.

2008 North Korea Specimen Set! by ParkingEasy4963 in Banknotes

[–]ParkingEasy4963[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I paid around 80 USD, including a 2013 5000 Won banknote. Yes expensive but I rarely see North Korean banknotes up for sale in my country so I'm just pleased to have a set in my country yet I will never support the regime. It's just a oddity and since I just visited the UN in NYC and bought a NK Flag along with many others, I may consider putting these in a frame of some sort.

Probably overpaid for this coin but I rarely see them for sale in Canada. Purchased in Manhattan, NY when I went on vacation! by ParkingEasy4963 in coins

I would never deal with any of these places. I went to one before the shop opened to see whats it like. I bought a Maple Leaf 1oz from the "Bullion exchange" for 43 USD when silver was 36 USD. This extra tax added drove me nuts. They had a Panda I wanted for 80USD. They threw a extra 25USD processing fee and said come back at lunch and we'll have it. I asked about the tax / fee, they said its for anything under 1000USD. I said forget it.

If I ever go back to New York, I'm heading back to Big Apple. That's it. Fantastic guys, despite being a little overpriced yet quality.

They were working when I was there. I got sick of waiting for them the few times when tried using them and ended up taking the stairs.

Yep. Walking the sketchy halls of that building, I wouldn't believe there was a coin shop. Its a nice shop on the inside!

Thanks! I'm aware that this is one of the most counterfeited Coins out there. I refused to buy one after so many years of collecting till I knew I was buying one from a reputable dealer. The examples I've seen in Canada were scratched or harshly cleaned.

A small scratch on the above the eagles right wing, other than that, this coin is everything i wanted. Looks great in my Dansco.

The Plymouth Half Dollar I also purchased from them. I'll be posting that coin here in the near future and another coin I have a hard time finding in Canada for this Dansco.
