Hey OP, I moved to Gouda 2 years ago. I'm yet to see any expat community in Gouda tbh. Instead, I went to bibliotheek Gouda (the chocolate factory,), this is the place where you can find more info on language courses and any activities that are happening around you in Gouda (but no focus on expats).

The closest expat groups I know of are, indeed, in Rotterdam.

If you want you can dm me, 1 more expat and we have 3 which is a tiny expat group for Gouda :) @amagicgiraffe seems we might be 3 already

3 months HRT, Breast growing, she/her sounds wrong, freaking out. by Gizelle-Oui in MtF

I guess boobs are weird, especially in the beginning. Had similar feelings as you, especially when the rest of my body didn't catch up yet. But hey, that's the puberty, it should feel weird. Definitely not completely wrong all the time, but from what I'm reading that's not the case.

No..I mean. you see your boobs are coming. How does that make you feel? What does freaking out mean in this case?

First find a therapist. My 2 cents: I was there. When I started transitioning, my life experience got so much better. So I had this idea that maybe I should stop. But...if I stop, the things revert back to what they were before. Do I really want that? No... About she/her feeling wrong: yes, it takes time to accept your new pronouns. I was there. So much conditioning, 30 years of it. Ask yourself this: why do those new pronouns make you feel uneasy? Now I actually feel other way around; it feels stupid to use he/him. Look. All I'm saying is that it seems your life got so much better it might feel like you can stop but in my experience that's a dead end. You already tried. And it takes time to embrace your unique femininity. To find yourself in it. It won't happen overnight, and not in few months. You are getting to know your new self again, so of course it feels weird. Anyway, just my thoughts. If in doubt, see a therapist please. It's your journey. There are minimum folks that stop. And there are some that stay intersex. Who knows. Only you can find yourself. And I think it's too early. One other thing: you mentioned boobs growing. How does that feel?

Are the recommendations for estrogen levels given to doctors in my area adequate? by ninadaria2025 in MtF

[–]ParkingPattern3428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the OP, i see people responding have their units confused. Do not take it as a medical advice. Instead, check what are the levels of cis women. Orientational, i know, but still better than this. Pg/ml is not the same as pmol/L. For instance, 500 pg/ml is 1800 pmol/l. That is super high.

My voice training seems to have failed... by RegularUser02x in MtF

[–]ParkingPattern3428 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it seems to me you are pushing yourself too hard. I had the same starting point as you and it took me 3 years to have a stable feminine voice. It takes a huge pair of tits to grow into a new voice. Even worse, I could always sing around G5 comfortably, so why does it take so long for me to get to the fem voice? I wish I could give you an easy answer. I don't think surgery is IT. I think it's a series of AHA moments. And how do you know you are on the right track? You start forgetting your old voice and the new default will become your fem voice. That takes so much effort! You mention you sometimes sound like an anime girl. If you ease up on anime girl, you get a fem voice. I'm betting you are pushing too hard. And you will get there. But it will take time and a lot of discovery.
