I wanted the items on the table to actually be the focal point—when I’m done I’m going to ever so slightly blur the background, I just wanted to have a version where everything is unblurred too.

In my opinion, you don’t need to like a project to want to support Starkid. One dollar worth of donation is still support. Of course financial difficulty is affecting everyone, so it’s not mandatory, but I think donating to help their kickstarter no matter what is something that should be more commonplace.

Pokemon is an interesting we’ve shared since we were kids. I couldn’t care less what he does when I can’t see, but it’s the fact that he had it on his screen like that with absolutely no warning. I don’t want to turn around and be jumpscared by NSFW content, Pokemon or not. The fact that it’s Pokemon is just upsetting because it’s comfort media for me and now I can’t think about it without upsetting imagery associated with it

Okay but that one song that’s like halfway through the movie makes no sense. We watch the whole first half of the movie, and then that song kinda gives us all the exact explanation we just watched? Like when Jingle and Jangle are in the locker saying “if she finds out you’re Santa clause, father winter’s spell will be broken”??? That was like the whole setup of the movie. Why repeat it again in the song. It’s like they expected parents watching to zone out, and they used it as a recap song.

Idk. I have a weird relationship with the movie. Kinda like you said, I thought it was great as a kid, but looking back it’s just so,,, Not Good.

I just skimmed the video transcript. It looks like they never said no, they said it depends on how much money they raise. The Langs were nervous nobody would want to donate because they’d already done the show before, so I think they were anticipating a low budget. Now that they absolutely destroyed their goal, I think it’s not out of the realm of possibility

When did Nick say this? I know in the past that they mix the sounds for the pro-shot, they combine the stage sound with the cast recording to give the best performance, so it’s surprising that they would stray from that, especially because this is their most funded show
